31:24 Hog Ride is the most difficult bike level because you have to keep the speed from the boost pad. In the other levels you are forced to go of ramps and make sharp tunes which will make lose the boost.

Probably would've turned it off and never turn it on again, the closest I got was missing a platinum by 0.03 seconds but not 0.01.

After Ranking the worst relics in Crash 3 it would be pretty cool to rank the worse relics from the entire trilogy so we can decide the true champion of awful relics

One warning about the second racing level, Road Crash (once you get that far)...don't wait too long for the other drivers. That particular track is actually a full loop, so if you wait too long, they'll come back from behind you. That aside the other racing levels have forced jumps and sharper turns that are impossible to maintain your boost on, so they aren't NEARLY as demanding as Hog Ride

When I did the hog ride relic, I waited a couple minutes at the beginning to let the other racers finish the track so that they didn't get in the way. It was quite helpful

Yeah the easiest way to get that relic. After that you just gotta time the turns perfectly. Still sucks tho but just WAY more manageable

He only needs to complete 2 warp rooms with relics to unlock the hidden path for it

And the thing is, afaik this game copies the same time relics from the original NTSC version of Crash 3, so changing the timeis out of question, but the controls tho... the biggest gripe with it I have is that if you let go of d-pad either left or right in super speed mode, it doesnt allow you to move left or right for like second and a half, WHICH IN THE ORIGINAL YOU COULD MOVE IMMEDIATELY!!! That little change is what makes it so impossible.

I’ve been waiting for Hog Ride for a long time, I also can’t wait for Tomb Time, High Time and Hot Coco 😂😂

Man Lewis is going to HATE himself for praising the jetski mechanics when he gets to Hot Coco. Also the other bike levels are much easier because they have sections where you have no choice but to lose your boost.

I love this series, I check KZread daily for these so thank you! But I wish you'd take your time with the levels a bit more, ironically. You missed crates on Gee Wiz and Hang 'Em High (until you checked a video) and it feels like you always try to rush and just one-shot the level and get platinum. We'd be perfectly happy watching you figure out the level and get sapphire on an initial, slower exploration run and then start trying to beat the time. Still, love the content!

Road Crash and Orange Asphalt are way more doable, and I actually think Area 51? is one of the easiest platinums in Warped

I actually had a lot more trouble on Road Crash's platinum relic than on Hog Ride, because Hog Ride is really straightforward and basic, while Road Crash is long, boring, has more places where runs can end, more sharp bends, places where drivers can be a problem, etc. Area 51 is very easy though, I recently PB'd on it again and yeah, I made a few massive mistakes and got 1:51. Still ain't easy to get through as a level, but it's pretty relaxed once you've memorised it.

There was a 105% TAS Run years ago, for the original Crash Bandicoot 3, that only got gold on Road Crash.

All I can say is that for me, the hardest time trials in the game were "High Time" and "Hot Coco", I could not get even gold on them, hah. After a lot of time got platinum on "high time" when I couldn't even get gold, it was weird. Oh and I was aiming only for gold ones, adding just in case

Congrats on beating one of the hardest platinum. The next two on warp room 2 (Tomb Time and Midnight Run) have strict times and you pretty much have to play everything perfectly. But once you learn the level layouts and cut corners in both of them, like box placement or enemies in your way, you should have no issues with them. If you do successful beat those 2 with ease and move on to warp room 3, good luck on High time, Deep trouble and Hot Coco (accessable through a Road sign where a blue bird hit it in Road Crash). They are some tricky ones

Try turning while doing a wheelie on a motorbike IRL and see how well that works out. Bike controls aren't bad, at least not in original Crash 3, however the delayed turning is still there. You're trading turning responsiveness for speed when boosting. You have to plan the turns ahead of time and basically buffer them beforehand. At least the turning stops right away once you stop turning even during boost. It's just the startup that takes a while.

In the Ps1 Crash 3 I always waited for AI to finish the race and then took the clock to start the time trial in motorbike levels. I assume it can be done here too the problem is obviously that it takes for ever to do it in every attempt.

They’re all WAAYY easier. This one is only hard because you have to keep the shitty boost controls from start to finish. The other levels have mandatory ramps that kill your boost frequently. Meaning you can actually turn when you want with responsive steering

Great job hangin in there to get the platinum relic in Hog Ride. Or was it just stubbornness lol? Seeing people struggle and get frustrated over this does not motivate me to get the platinum here. I barely missed getting a platinum in Road Crash, the next motorcycle level. By .1 second. And in Orange Asphalt I've got the platinum only once. By sheer luck is all. Area 51? shouldn't be that bad. It's much better than the PS1 version. There's been a couple times where I got both a platinum relic and the race win gem. You're doing great. Keep it up

Certified Hog Ride™ moment

It's been a while since I played, but I remember hot coco being simultaneously the hardest and easiest level in the game to platinum. There's an exploit on that level that lets you get a time less than 2 seconds because the exit is right by the clock and is guarded by nitro crates, if you can set them off without dying you can just pick up the clock and drive right into the exit. I remember pain and suffering on Area 51 as well but it's apparently the easiest of the bike levels because of its laid back time. I just remember screwing up a lot on that level. Something "fun" I thought you could do sometime later when you're done getting the platinum relics, (if you have the game on PC that is) is to install the 'Master relics and remade relic times' mod for another little extra challenge to do. Hot Coco's master relic time is 11.87 seconds so that should be fun to do without the nitro crate exploit 🙃

The only other level I found harder than hog ride was high time It was also my last relic since I just could not get myself to do it so I left it for last after god knows how many attempts And even then it took way too long to get

There are 3 more motorbike levels in this game, all of which are more generous with the platinum time. Nothing else in the game even comes close to hog ride imo.

Impressive you got Hog ride's Platinum! Holding the wheelie the whole race is tough. Sorry to say, I feel level 14, Road Crash, is harder. Another level with a strict time and is longer. The good news is Orange Asphalt is comparatively easy with a less strict time and area 51 is also not too bad (again, comparatively). Most of the platforming levels in 3 aren't too bad due to the insane move pool you have in Crash 3 (death tornado glide, slide spin jump, double jump e.t.c.) so it is still easier than 1, in my opinion. But, I also still say 2 is easier than 1, so... your mileage may vary... :p

Area 51? is much harder than Hog Ride, at least for me. It took me a lot of tries to get the Sapphire Relic on it in the original Crash 3. And I got so bored waiting for the UFOs haha!

i dono, ive never struggled with the bike levels at all, OG or remake. the turning is like curve, starts slow and increases the more you hold it..

Tip for other motorcycle levels: wait for the other racers to speed off before you start, that way you have a blank space to drive on, I know it sounds slow but it REALLY helps

2nd bike level: Road Crash, this one broke me. Made me quit for a while. 3rd bike level: Orange Asphalt, was fine, hard but a bit better 4th bike level: Area 51, was actually a breath of fresh air, it's like one of the chill Crash 2 levels. Other hard levels in this game (at least for me) Future Tense (Dont have yet) Tell No Tales (Don't have yet) Rings of Power (Don't have yet) Hot Coco Mad Bombers Gone Tomorrow

In my playthrough, I got a platinum in one of the later racing levels whilst making so many mistakes. It does get better.

Lewis, trust me, shooting the clock from ahead makes all the difference in some levels, the more time you can save, the better in the long run. And yes, you have 3 more bike levels to platinum still, including Road Crash, Orange Asphalt, and Area 51, which you haven't touched yet. Road Crash is easily the worst, it's dark, very long, littered with barely visible holes, ramps that are 50/50 whether you get ghe crate over them (And I mean, LITERALLY 50/50), annoying gates, boosts and cars, and the boring nature of the level. Orange Asphalt is a bit easier and my personal favourite of the biking levels, it's a lot more lenient in the time, has easier boosting sections, but still is pretty long and has annoying cars. Area 51 is pitch black with UFOs being your source of light, and they're basically the drivers but less irritating. It's the longest by far of the driving levels, but it's by far the easiest. Boosts aren't as necessary, but the pitch blackness will make each section of the level blend with eachother, making memorisation harder. Good luck anyway, you'll need it this time. Here's one tip though: Double Jumping and Tornado Spinning slow you down quite a bit, so still try to use the Slide Jump Spin for jumps where you can use it.

i use to have world record on hog ride when the game came out

I remember playing Hog Ride on the PS1 game and plat was easy. I went into NSane Trilogy thinking everyone was just a little baby saying it was so hard, but no, I was humbled.

My best tip for the future is use the D-Pad man. ESPECIALLY for bike levels. All the issues you had with FLYING off the road I NEVER had with D-Pad. (I never use the sticks for anything in crash, I’m a D-Pad player all the way)

Yeah luckily for you, hog ride is the hardest bike level by far, the times for the other bike levels are way more lenient

You missed a hidden time crate and Aku crate in Gee Wiz, so I can confirm that you could have gotten a faster time.

2:11 missed crate tip for all the bike levels: before going for the clock, wait a little bit until other racers are out of sight, then you guessed it, enjoy smashing crates without crashing into anything. thankfully none of the later bike levels require you to keep the boost for the hole level since some of the crates are requires jumping off the ramp, so if anything, the time is more generous ( in comparison to this at least ) 21:20 never mind, you figured it out

Lewis, the other motorbike levels do have easier platinums than Hog Ride. They made the platinum relic times for the other 3 motorbike levels more lenient on N Sane Trilogy than the PS1 times (the plat time for NST 'Area 51?' is higher than the gold time on PS1!), which compensates for NST's lesser motorbike controls, particularly when boosting. But for some reason, they did not make Hog Ride's time much more lenient, and that's the level with the longest boost you have to hold. Ugh, worst NST relic.

I remember Road Crash being a pain in the neck in the PAL version of Crash 3 on PS1, while in the N. Sane Trilogy it took me way less attempts to get that platinum relic

Hog Ride took me so many attempts to get Platinum. The bike controls are so stiff when going fast. Had to watch a video on how to perfect it.

you can make the bike levels a little more easy by waiting for the cars to be gone since you dont need to finish first. that way the cars wont be in your way.

Yeah trust us Lewis all the other motorcycle levels are a cakewalk compared to Hog Ride. Even Area 51? Is a super easy one despite the dark area. What most people dont realize is that the UFO's can help let you know when the cop cars are coming (when they fly up instead of staying on the road) so you already got through one of the hardest ones already. The next hard one is Hot Coco the other vehicle level the other jetski levels arent as strict as that first one was but Hot Coco DEFINITELY is sk i wish you all the luck in the world with that level. Oh and have fun with Future Tense because yeah...

The other 3 motorbike levels are much easier to platinum than Hog Ride.

The other bike levels are much easier than hog ride. You got the worst behind you 👍🏻

For future motorcycle levels, try to get the guys out of the way. 1 minute for Road Crash and a minute 30 for Orange Asphalt are the waiting times so the guys don't bother you. Getting them gone is the best because of the way they are programed in this. It is not like the original where you can race with them.

I believe the secret warp room racing one was the hardest of the racing ones, but thats my personal opinion. I think I recall there being three and honestly they are equal parts garbage. A common opinion I usually see though is the ski level in the extra warp room is the worst

The problem with the bike levels in the remake is tapping to steer resets how long you have to wait before you actually being turning. In saying that I beloeve the other bike levels are a lot easier to platinum in the remake beacise of this

Not sure if anyone has told you about a neat trick for the relics in Crash 3, but whenever you're in levels that allows you to use the fruit bazooka, try to position yourself in front of the clock and use the fruit bazooka to get a little headstart. It's a bit useful for some of the tighter platinum times in the later levels.

This is by far the hardest level. Took me multiple hours 2, you should breeze through the rest bar maybe one or two.

I 100% the N Sane trilogy the last days, and the difficulty difference between 1/2 and 3 is insane for the Relics, 3 has Hot Coco, Hog Ride and Future Tense i struggled with, the other Level are easy/medium, most times u just need to finish with all crates. Some Level u just need to know the "trick" or just be reckless. I did 14/31 Relics in Plat by accident.
