Still kinda suck or a first time. Also, more than 81 if you count the ones edited out. You can tell easily in some parts, like Papu Papu health or when he gets a Aku Aku on the checkpoint. That means he died many times there. :P

@@patrik4827 it sure wasn't the best wtf. every bonus looks the same, almost every level is a side scroller, you can't obtain nearly any clear gem without having ALL colored gems, it is slow and sadistic and a regular level is as difficult as crash 3's future tense platinum relic ... i have played through crash 2 with 102% and crash 3 108% because i love them but for crash 1 i barely bet the final boss and just got 9 plat relics and 8 gems .. and i don't think i am gonna touch it again because i think it is unfair and frustrating. in 2 and 3 i had 0 game overs, in the first game i had over 20 just completing the story mode ...

Platformers mostly don't have a lot of RNG and the maps are the same , so you can beat the game over and over with the exact same inputs. It just seems like a lot of people simply can't handle too many inputs/actions at the same time , running in one direction and jumping at the end of a ledge only requires one button held down and the other one pressed at the ledge , while you have to press more buttons in most other games.

Ah, yes. The video that got me into this channel.

This entire video Is just how pixel perfect alpahrad can be at failure

To be honest, the original crash game on the Playstation IS the real nightmare. I don't own a PS4 and tried to play it and holy mother of god it's hard. If you die once in any level, you can't get the gem for breaking all the boxes. If you fail a bonus level, you just need to restart the entire level to do it again. And finally, you can only save after completing a bonus level or getting a gem. That remake doesn't seem to feature that at all, which makes it not as hard as the first game. However, it was a very frustrating feature and wish I could get the remake version instead. Crash Bandicoot Warped on the Playstation is my favourite.

That is true, but the platforming of the remastered version is harder because the jumps are faster and it is harder to land tricky jumps. This has been confirmed by both the devs and the players. While the original is harder in terms of having to do all the levels without dying, the remastered version is harder overall and the colored gems still need to be done without dying and they are the hardest level in the game anyway.

That bridge levels...DAMN! And there're two of them! At first i was like "ok, hard but doable". Then i reached the end of the stage when you need to perform a sequence of continuous long jumps trying to land on a single piece of wood. I was like "WTF is that?" A million deaths later i started trying to land on the rope and pass the level that way. Still hard because while on the rope you have to walk in a perfectly straight line but still better than performing jumps.

Would of been better if he said "Crash that like button"

I never played the first game, but I played the second and third ones. The difficulty is really eased up in those games, and the difficulty comes more from exploration. Also time trials. Somehow the time trials made it to the first game, so GOOD LUCK!

The difficulty of not dying for the gems got moved over to the Time Trials, except now you gotta speedrun those things, and it’s an actual nightmare

I actually used to play this when I was so young I had no sense of video game controls and, at maximum, only beat the first few levels.

I love how Alpharad doesn't get overly angry, even on Road to Nowhere. He does his best to stay calm when he dies.

As a person who played this like a champ I'm both surprised and scared that you spun like 20 lives away I'm legitamatly afraid...

They improved the graphics so that you no longer have to complete "Jaws of Darkness" in pitch black, even if your television is at full brightness. They even included the analog functionality for better movement. It definitely should be a lot easier to play now.
