Crappie Strikes Again At San Luis Reservoir

On this trip, I forget to bring my Atlas Umbrella Rigs. So, we focused mainly on crappie most of the day. We found the crappie almost right away and caught a few. Then they just disappeared. It took a little work finding them but we were able to land a few more that morning. We didn't have any striper gear except for the crappie jigs. Luckily I was able to scrounge up two of my Atlas Rigs that I had lying around. With some random baits, I was able to put together a rig. We were able to limit on stripers for Peter before calling it a day.

Yes but now that the water levels so low I’m not sure where they’re at anymore

You still have to work for em tho. I'm using Custom Magic Jigs and Notorious Jigs

Buddy wilson HJH Hook Jaw Hunters I usually do good with white but I’ve caught em on all sorts of colors. I got a few bags of random colors and I’m always switching colors

I use the Scotty power grip clips. I default to 100' but move them closer if I see stripers checking out the downrigger ball often.
