Crankshafts are under tremendous stresses in all direction. Any flaw or weakness will be quickly exploited. Only the strongest materials and expert machining go into the our MG TB, TC, TD, TF crankshaft. Moss part number 451-485.

Still wish the damn shop told me to clean that crank in 88' my oil pressure dropped two days later and upon dissasembly found debree in the crank, berrings ruined

This is just fantastic.
I know the answer but for the benefit of your viewers could you explain the best way to store a crankshaft.
Your videos are very professional, and very clear. I'd like to make a criticism though. Please don't feminize the inanimate things. You feminized Fuel pump, piston, engine, crankshaft in this video alone. Luckily i know about a lot of parts and their functions to differentiate and grasp when your explaining. But there are others who cant(me from 3 years back).
