crankbait bass fishing in shallow water during the summertime

Summer can be one of the toughest times to catch bass due to the intense heat but don’t let that discourage you from going out! Bass can sometimes be lethargic and unwilling to chase down lures due to hot water temperatures but with the crankbait I can deflect it off structure or cover to generate a reaction strike making the most inactive bass take a bite. Cover a lot of water during the hottest part of the day and find active fish or get inactive fish to strike!

Yes there is! try hitting up the docks for some summer bass. Great cover for them to take shelter from the sunlight.

It’s possible on the right tides and time of day. Weekdays are better, weekends are more challenging for bank fishing on the delta.
