This topic is traumatic for me. My first clinical exam the doctor told me to examine all the CRANIAL NERVES of the patient. I wasn't prepared for that. I took a deep breath and started to examine his Olfactory nerve, but I figured out that I don't have any FAMILIAR substance for the patient to smell, so I thrusted RIGHT HAND PALM AGAINST THE PATIENT'S BOTH NOSTRILS and asked him are you smelling anything?! So he answered me No since my hand has no AROMA 🤣🤣. This will never be forgotten 😂

Can smd help. In lecture ‘Corticobulbar tract’ Zack talked about corticobulbar tract lesion when tongue deviates contrlateral. Left pathway damaged - deviation to the right. It is an example of upper motor neurone damage. In this vid Zack is talking about lower motor neurone lesion? Where deviation meets the side of lesion. There must be clinical differentiation in the case of corticobulbar tract lesion it will be spastic palsy and in the case of peripheral lesion of hypoglossus nerve it presents with flaccid paralysys (fibrilationts etc) IS IT?
