I still would consider him 2nd because of Carson's sheer output , history and ability to improv. I would love to see him one day do a weird little show with Steven Wright and Ricky Gervais. It would probably break the internet

This is a song about Turkey, written by two Canadians, performed by a Scot on an American TV show. Seems like the ultimate compliment to ethnic diversity to me :-)

I miss Craig too. And TMBG. Saw them twice back in the late 80s and early 90s.

My absolute favorite opening number! Craig doing the "Ahhhh!" in the back, then the pause, then the "Ahhh!" again totally cracks me up! The whole thing is hilarious, but that part really gets me every time. XD

This is what makes me a proud member of the Robot Skeleton Army! No one but Craig is this inventive and just outright hilarious. He doesn't need fancy edited videos, or a flashy set, just some music, a scarf, and several puppets!

I could never watch the show during its run when it aired but I am gobbling up KZread clips lately and discovering that late night TV in the 2000s was something extraordinary because of Ferguson and his team. Just this number alone is the zenith of entertainment, and you know that it was carefully choreographed, memorized, and rehearsed. Have to say, too, that the fez dude is rockin' it, and obviously having one helluva blast doing this song. It's a delight getting acquainted with this show ... Craig, Secretariat, Geoff, the puppets, Alfredo Sauce and the Shy Fellas-- pure silly bliss. Geoff is one of the best and funniest creations to ever grace the small screen. Big props to Josh for giving that skeleton robot hilarious improvised humor, fantastic voices and remote control movements; it takes talent to do it all at the same time.

omg. i was there for every single second of this show. I think I understand why Craig left when he did. but, my god, there was nothing else like it back then, and there never will be in the future.

No matter how many times I have watched this (and that's alot...), it is still so funny.

Two of my favorite things combined. When I saw this on TV, I was like, "YES!" :D

I watched this when it aired and it introduced me to They Might Be Giants. This is one of the funniest segments of all time.

Craig really rocks that violin. I watched this several times before it registered you aren't actually hearing him play it, he's doing "air violin" to the They Might be Giants soundtrack.

I'm going to watch this until my eyes dry up and fall out of my head, landing like a pair of raisins onto my keyboard... Then, I'll watch it one more time.

Damn, I miss this show.

He is amazing. I don't even watch American Idol but the interview with Simon Cowell was priceless, because I believe Simon actually enjoyed the mental challenge. Simon is not used to that. It is another priceless piece that can't be missed, check it out.

Even old New York was once New Amsterdam. With Craig and crew lip synching and dancing to this tune, what was old is new again. Craig makes me happy.

I first heard this song in an episode of the 90s cartoon series "Tiny Toon Adventures". It was one where they made some music videos of sorts to some classic songs such as this.
