They're long, and the grip-end is smooth and won't bite your hand. Very nice.

The metric sets are hard to find now. I bought a single 13/15mm double box end wrench when I was a lube tech at a Buick dealer in the mid 2000’s, still have it. All the Buick v6 motors from that era had drain plugs that were either 13 or 15 mm so it was a perfect tool for the job. Man Sears was great. The only store where you could buy a single brand new double box end made in USA wrench.

Thanks for sharing that and thanks for watching. They are hard to find I hope someday I can some larger metric ones but I'm not holding my breath lol. And you're right sears was amazing. I wasn't into tools really until right about the time they quit making USA tools. Around 2011 or 2012, I started out buying kobalt cause Lowes was more convenient for me to get to. I miss the days of just going to sears and looking at even foreign made stuff. I really wish I could've gotten to go through the made in USA sears experience. Thanks again for watching and commenting. I hope you enjoyed the video.

@@hoobsgarage it was glorious. 90% of the stuff was made in the USA and cheap. I went in there with like 200 bucks and got pry bars, sockets, wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers and pliers when I started my first mechanic job. Crazy times. You should get one of the old craftsman catalogs from the 2000’s, they’re fun to look through. I still have almost everything from that first purchase and besides breaking a lot of the screwdrivers and losing a few sockets everything still works.

I have this set. Bought it in 2002 or 2003. I think I paid about $100 for it.

Nice, I wish I would've been into buying tools and stuff back then. I never got the chance to walk into a sears when it was full of good ol' USA tools everywhere. Thanks for watching and commenting. I'm glad you stopped by the channel.

I have set from 1/4 to 1 1/4 that I bought when I was 16 y/o, I’m now 73 y/o, you do the math. They have built many hot rods and fixed many a car and still look new. Also have 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 drive socket sets, only things I’ve wore out was screw driver sets.

i got to say those are perfiect for spots that the wrench can fall off easy although the normal wrenchs can get frusrating

I am not convinced they are made in USA. Probably just the engravings are done domestically.

They definitely feel like better quality. But you could be right, didn't craftsman have a lawsuit in the 90s about stamping USA on foreign made tools? Seems like I remember hearing about that.

@hoobsgarage since craftsman started selling tools at Lowes, I heard the power tools are made mostly outside USA and then final assembly and packaging are done domestically. That's how they get around it. I wouldn't be surprised if their hand tools were forged in Mexico or Korea. It's been S-K for me for 15yrs.

@mitchellferre1652 I know the Lowes craftsman tools aren't USA. They even say on the package assembled in USA with global material and thenhand tools say where they're forged its usually India or Taiwan. I talking about a lawsuit 30 years ago like with these wrenches in the video.

@hoobsgarage I'm not familiar with that lawsuit. I do have a full set of craftsman wrenches and socket sets from the late 80s I bought during high school. The ratchets have long been dead. The wrenches are still going strong.
