Craftsman M105 21" Lawn Mower Made in USA | Unbox, Assemble and First Cut
Ғылым және технология
The Craftsman 21" 3-function lawn mower model M105. The machine can be configured for side discharge, rear bagging or mulching. It is allegedly Made in USA, but I don't think that means much at all today compared to what it used to. Certain parts of the assembly were a bit difficult because the instructions aren't very clear or explanatory, but otherwise the machine is a pleasant surprise. It starts easily, runs smooth and picks up a clean path when using the bag. I'm quite impressed with how balanced it is during operation, which is usually a good indicator of the quality. Time will tell and I certainly don't have my hopes up for decades of reliable operation, but for now it's quite a good machine.

We have had good luck with craftsman mowers typically 5-8 years. 2 years ago got a Craftsman M140 with the Honda engine on it. We also have one that’s from 2000 that’s a Craftsman with a tecumseh Engine on it
No oil changes because they hope you keep the crappy oil with hardly any additives inside the crank case. Just run it for 2 hours. Dump the oil out. Metal shavings are in the oil from the machining/manufacturing process. When you dump the oil out you will see a glitter like substance in it most likely. I use shell rotella 15-40 diesel oil. The additive’s are way better then gas motor oil. I’ve put it in all my small engines for years. And my car/truck gas engines as well. Because it’s an air overcooled motor. They operate pretty warm. That oil won’t thin out under extreme temps as easy like cheap gas oil. You can be one step ahead of planned obsolescence in something like a small four stroke engine by putting good oil in it. Yes, the never oil feature is indeed it burning oil from worn out rings caused by high temps. Also non existent additives with the oil that comes with your mower. It will get worse and worse then they hope people will get lazy and it will just lock up. Then you go buy a new one after 4 years.
Good luck with the mower. Craftsman seems a pretty good brand tho
Craftsman is now owned by stanley and mtd makes their yard equipment and changing the oil the first 5 hours is like for the engine for to be broken in
Change oil anyway once a year. Last Briggs and Stratton that had that never change oil locked up the engine on year 2

They don't make them with the two piece handle bars like they used to and that it was more convenient and that you just squeeze the bottom of the handle bars in and push them forward
