I just bought the exact mower at Lowe's and I thought I was missing the oil fill part; but it wasn't missing, I just wasn't familiar with the way Craftsman does theirs and you covered it nicely in the video. Also I didn't know about the pull rope holder, so I learned 2 things today and the mower works awesome!

Apparently they are doing it differently now. Bc we have one that is like the old regular ones. I thought it was missing the oil part as well.

There is no image in the manual that matches this engine. I had the same issue with the cap. NOT user friendly. Designed by idiots.

I bought a similar machine from Lowe's in 2003. Still use it, starts on the first pull, change the oil every year, and has been the best push mower I've had.

Thanks for the video. I couldn’t get the carriage bolts through the holes either. Considered hammering them through but was afraid I would strip the threads. Watched this and figured it would be OK since you did it. Thanks!

I just bought this from Lowe’s and this morning I was ready to read the instructions , and although I am very good at following instructions in a paper manual , I just decided to check KZread and I found the tutorial that you provided to be seamless and totally accurate. Even the part about having to hammer in with the rubber hammer the into that little area on the handles. That was so helpful and allowed me to get this set up done within 10 minutes. It works great and it was very easy to set up. Thank you so much.

I just purchased one very similar to this, the M110 at Lowe's. It was easy to assemble and get up and running. A decent little mower for a decent price.

You are a life saver! I couldn't get the recoil starter rope to pull and it turned out to be because I had skipped the step with the black release levers (I thought I had a different model!). My wife helped me too but the important thing is that the mower now works. And I was going to send it back!

I love my bf because he willingly volunteers to assemble this exact lawn mower, but it's always great to double check the work. He forgot to pull out those bars. I knew there was something. I did that while he was out at work and he will never know. Thanks for the video.

My nephew bought the same mower but his has the auto choke feature which i was surprised when i barely pulled on rope that ir started up, so i killed the engine and then when i went to restart it i tried held end of t handle with on finger and pulled real effortlessly and started up super easy to start, i recommended that mower with the auto choke to my sister because she has shoulder issues and she went and bought it at lowes and super satisfied!

With your help, I was able to figure out how to put my mower together. I'm still having a little trouble getting rid of some looseness in the handle but will have a friend look at later & he can probably tighten that up better for me. Thanks again.

Thanks Rob, I bought this online after I watched this video and picked it up today at a Lowes in Brookings, SD. We took it out of the box and followed your instructions by memory and about ten minutes later we had it running. I found a simular mower at Sears in Marshall, MN yesterday but it had a cheap Chinese engine on it and it was $30 higher. I told him Lowes had one for $200 and he replied that Craftsman builds those cheaper for other markets and I would get any warranty coverage from Sears. I said I don't care about warranty and I repair my own stuff.

I liked that the Lowe's version had the Briggs engine. I saw the generic Chinese engine version at my local hardware store and wasn't impressed. The Lowe's version has a warranty but like you said it's usually more of a hassle to deal with a claim than it is to just fix the thing yourself

I’m considering a new craftsman gas mower possibly next spring of 2024, but the self propelled m220 model which is front wheel drive. I have a 2015 toro self propelled mower but it has a terrible engine and it doesn’t run as well and I tried to start it last spring but it wouldn’t start up well. So that why I’m considering a craftsman self propelled mower. I really appreciate this review, this will help me narrow down my options for a new craftsman mower. Great review and Thanks again.

Thank you! How weird that the bolt required the good ol rubber hammer to place, funny thing is, it only needed it for one side! The other one just slid through! I can't wait to use this mower!

Only have watched a few videos on push mowers, but you were quick and to the point. As you said, only time will tell about longevity, but seems to be a good, basic push mower for areas the riding one wont reach and I don't want too much left for the weed trimmer.

Thank you for posting this. My 90 year old mother bought one of these at Lowe's yesterday and I couldn't figure out the lower adjustment for the handle height. Do you have a video showing the throttle adjustment?

not a bad mower.just got to be gentle on it since the axles are mounted in plastic.& keep the axles lubricated or they will rust, the rust will quickly wear away the plastic retainers.

I noticed that you didn’t hook the side flap on, Good call they just fall of anyway. I love this mower it’s great to use, very easy start. Only problem is the side flap keeps falling off and today it fell into the spinning blade which chopped some of it off smh.

Thanks, you helped me figure out how to install the grass discharge cover. Could they make the oil fill harder to reach? Why doesn't the rear wheel have height numbers and why does the raise wheel mechanisms go in opposite directions?

Did you have trouble putting the oil in? What kind of funnel did you use because the oil fill is in a bad place. I have a old Craftsman now but the engine doesn’t run as well.

Just got this after last craftsman mower finally gave up after 30 years. But the manual/ booklet/ pamphlets are very lacking. What spark plug and gap does the m100 take? I can't find out anywhere. It came with one, I guess I'll find it on there when I change it next season. Seems strange the owners manual doesn't say. Also it came with oil, but is vague about weight. The bottle only says it is 15 oz, (444ml) Also rather hoped changing oil would be easier.... haven't done it yet, but anticipate it being a pain and mess without a drain plug underneath.

I've been happy with it. It starts right up and miss like a champ

take the mulch cover off and put a permanent side chute on. Mine came off and went under and is in 3 pieces now.. Backwards, should have the mulch cover to come off easy

good video. I just bought the same model and it is missing one of the nuts that the "thumb screws" screw into. Any chance you know the size of this nut? I don't want to return this and if I can buy the nut at the local hardware store, it'll be an easy fix. Thank you

I just put mine together, the bolt with the fly nut goes on the inside to the out. Shouldnt be any need for hammering

I'm lazy, I have 2 push mowers and they both have front wheel drive. I'm also cheap, on was free beside the road, and the other was bought used 10 years ago. LOL. The free one looked brand new, and was missing the air filter??? Anyway, had it running in 2 minutes, and runs as new. Use it as a bush hog grinding up sticks and debris that I fail to rake up in the spring. I just mulch it.

We just got a M110. Very helpful setup info, as the instructions that came with it aren't the best!

Can anyone help me. I just bought this same mower, but the brake cable looking part wasn't attached to the red bar at top and I can't figure it out...

If it's broken, you're best bet is to return it for a new one. Also check to make sure your safety handle is engaging properly

I bought the same exact one but it wont start at all for me. I did spray some starter fuel on the side of carburator and it would fire up but die right away. Help please

You should check the manual...there is usually a number you can call for help

anyone know what horse power that 140cc briggs puts out?... my guess is 5.5 hp.... thanks

@@SevenFortyOne Yes I am. That's the 1st thing I did. Time I uninstalled from the box, I put it 2gether and tried to pull the string to connect to the thing on the side that holds it in place and it wouldn't even pull to reach up that far. Could it be defective?
