Pro tip: before you start messing with the deck, make sure the tires are all inflated. I spent a good hour trying to figure out why my deck was HIGH on the right side. Turns out, the left rear tire was deflated. 🤦
I just want to say thank you sir I had scrolled through some other videos and they go into discussions that really I would say other will agree with me is a waste of time when we need some vital information we really for the most of us are probably serious due too the problems were in countering with our mowers , and you sir dealt with the issue on your clip right away and I appreciate this , thank you so much.
This makes sense. I am working on my inlaws mower right now because the deck just wont come up high enough to mow decent anymore. This isnt the exact problem I have but it is showing me where to start for sure!
Thank you for your post. After searching for the past 5 hours, your video turned the light bulb on in my mind. My problem is, my Husqvarna only has 6 settings and I would like to mow even higher. In the highest 6th position, it cuts at about 3.5 inches and I would like to go higher to 4 plus inches. Have fescue in North Georgia and it looks good cut high and less trouble when it comes to the bagger. And I certainly don't want to hit anything! So now thanks to you I know how to raise the entire deck above and beyond the 6th position. THANK YOU. GOD BLESS!
My Ariens also has the adjustment only on the left side so this is perfect. Going to find a hairpin now. Thanks!
Thank you! Mine is a Husqvarna YTH18K46. Exactly what I needed to know!
Good Video. Thanks. I bought another left side adjustable assembly & replaced the right side lift. Solved my leveling problem by being able to adjust both sides of the deck
Just became your BIGGEST FAN!!! This is the most awesome fix I could find. Now I can level my Craftsman T1600.
I solved this problem on mine by buying anther adjustable lift link like the one on left side and put it on the right side, now the whole deck can be adjusted to where I need it.,,,, and the left link fits on the right side perfectly.......
Great tip double wide the troybuilt are the same way older models
thanks for taking time to show me how to level the deck
Nice fix! I recently ran into a customer's issue similar to yours. This mower would cut lower on the adjustable side than the other. I took the adjustment rod off the mower and put a slight bend in it to raise the left side. It worked, had to do it a couple of times to get it right, but it solved the problem. Bad engineering by the manufacture not being able to adjust both sides.
WOW thanks...same as my husqvarna ..did it and worked great
I have a Husqvarna yth22V46 and it has just one adjustment and a rod like is on your craftsman and I was wondering what size hair pin did you use for the rod to help with your adjustment and what is a good blade height to cut grass on for the manuel states 2.5 inches on cool days and 3 inches on hot days. I was cutting mine on setting three, not sure what the inches were and had a weld break on the deck where the handle the lifts the deck to the bracket is was broke had it repaired and they adjusted it and now my 3 setting has gone to a 4 cause the 3 setting is now to low and the 4 setting is to high, can you help with this issue?
Excellent! Worked great. Thanks.
I've got a Sears YT4000. It's never cut evenly. Driver's side is always lower. How much can you shim up the right side to match the left? ..While left side is low, its acceptable. Thx.
Should I adjust my deck and then put the pin on? Or should I just put the pin on now? Great video!
