In this short video, I'll show you how to program a Craftsman garage door keypad. The main circuit board got reset on my garage motor unit so this keypad isn't working right now. But here's how to program it. You might need to remove the light cover on motor housing first.
Locate and press the sync button once. With the LED lit up, type in a 4 digit PIN number on the keypad and press the Enter button within 30 seconds. The garage door opener will blink once. Then press the Enter button on the keypad again and the door will operate.
And from now on, just enter the PIN number and hit Enter to open and close the garage door from the outside. Finally, these instructions will also be similar on Chamberlain, Liftmaster and Sears garage door openers. It worked! Was able to reuse an old keypad after I had tried - and failed - to replace it with a new unit.

This might work. But it usually doesn't on my Craftsman. You can try: • * + # Hold down until blinking stops • Press and release learn key on main unit • Enter 4 digit code PIN • Press and release enter key • No work?..press enter key slowly again • AFTER it blinks, press zero • TEST
