Please feel free to contact me directly if you need a hand or this isn't the exact answer that you need! Thinking of picking up a new weedwacker? There are many options to consider depending on how much work you are needing to accomplish. I unbox and assemble this Craftsman 2-Cycle 25cc Weedwacker and do a little weedwacking to demonstrate it's capability. I go through the process of starting it up as well. If you are going to let this sit for quite awhile, I recommend adding a fuel stabilizer to the gas tank.
Hey i'm gonna unbox this craftsman two cycle 25 cc weed whacker put it together and use it
all right here's all our pieces the very first piece that we're gonna take care of is this one to that one the guard so this is gonna fit over this bracket right there i'll show you okay how this thing works is this is just gonna go right like this this little piece right here the little end goes right in there that hole there is for this so it's going to slide in there we're going to take this out take that off and run the bolts through that hole i'm holding my thumb right up against there to keep it steady i'm just it's going to insert right in there
connect these two so what you want to do is take this piece out even says remove for assembly okay take that off and then this comes off too so press down on that just pull that right off
there we go and that'll just link right up with this
it's going to pop through that hole push down on it and snap it in just like that you can tighten it down there
there we go okay now the next step you're gonna need a flathead screwdriver so i grabbed one of those loosen this up a little bit
actually we're going to take this all the way out because we're going to mount this that just stays right in there maybe keep your finger on that so it doesn't pop out and then that's going to mount right on here whatever's comfortable for you let's pop it on there and put that screw back in
you might want to pick it up just kind of figure out where is going to be the best for you for this thing you can always loosen it up and slide it forward or back but one hand here and then one hand there
and tighten that down
okay now we're ready to add some fuel so i'm using the use mix fuel and i'd like to use the still moto mix here um or steel however you want to pronounce it uh 50 to 1 and that's what this takes dude
you might need a funnel this thing happens to have a pretty good pour spout and uh we'll pour it pretty good in there
i'll go ahead and fire it up
directions for starting this thing are right on the side here main thing first of all make sure this kill switch is in the on position
you want to prime it first so we're going to prime it here's the primer right here push that ten times one two three four five
okay do a little bit more let's go about 15. move the lever to the one position all the way up
i wanted to start up now we'll go down one here
okay it's wanting to start and we'll open it all the way up
you

Found a similar 2 cycle trimmer to this one on a rare lawn and garden website, it’s a yard machine 25cc gas trimmer curved split shaft also, I’m thinking bout buying one next summer or the year after that. Love these 25cc trimmers. Great vid also. It was helpful.

@@DIYTechnician just a quick question...the directions say to use the engine oil packet it came with and one gallon of gasoline however you used another fuel product by Stihl? i just want to make sure that if i use what you demonstrated that I don't need to add the engine oil packet to it. is that right?

  • @DIYTechnician

    @DIYTechnician

@@PNW980 that is correct. The product I used was mixed gas already so save the packet for another time when you need to mix your own gas. Good question. Any more questions feel free to hit me up. Take it easy.

I wanted to see how new line is added to the spool. This is similar to a Craftsman I used to own but not exactly the same. It had no bump capability or spool. I don't want either.

Right in my face the Whole Time. Yeah I am Idiot. , Thanks 😀
