Really nice work Wes and such a blessing to Chris for helping him. Absolutely love that you're using the experience you gained building your bus to help others. Very generous of you.
I watch several channels snd have decided that you are the master of skoolies. I love seeing how easily you fabricate and install.

Fully agree.
Always good to watch you work. You have a good work ethic, and can do attitude you set an excellent example for your children. Well done. Thanks so much for being on Team Irma and helping out Chris and G.
Another ingenious Wess Lewis design and superb quality execution!

Kim Kingsley thank you...the Skoolie community is full of some awesome folks! 😀
Great vlog loved how you made the deck. Thanks for share. Enjoy the journey.
Looks very nice!!!
Great job guys!
Awesome deck!
Awesome work👍🏽👏🏼
Deck is looking good. An alternative way to secure the railings would be to weld a stud on the outside of the long sides and a plate with a hole in the front and back sides. When folded down the stud goes through the plate and a clinch pin placed through a hole in the stud holds it all down.
Superb job guys, it looks great!
That's awesome, I want to get a bus. Finances just aren't there at the moment
Totally sweet, as always with your metal fab jobs!
You do great work. But you might want to explore galvanized studs. 20 times lighter , 10 times stronger than wood. No maintenance.
Amazing work Wes! Love how YOU, Jim, Debbie and Chris worked on this. Chris' bus will be amazing when complete.
Kinda looks like a build for the desert of Burningman. Thanks for the build!

Mattius Valentine That's the plan...I'm sooo looking forward to getting back to Burning Man....I've missed 3 years in a row now. 🔥
So awesome.. I must have one.
Awesome put together
Good seeing again, you still got it my friend!!! Saw you on those other channels was hoping you would upload soon. The bus is still looking good.
Like #99, Great info, People and video, TY for the Time and Share, so your going around and helping others now to make things work for your living and others dreams come true on the RV Life, do you go back to Kansas anymore or you just out to stay, later
It was great getting to see a quick tour of your bus on Life is a Joy youtube channel :) The old barnwood looked great.
Have you thought of notching the roof and extending a few of the hat channel inserts straight up from the windows for deck corners?
Good to see you brother saw a little work you did on Chris and Debbie channel good people looked really cool so excited to see you editing again hands up your a master craftsman at whatever you do!!!!. Happy trails brother.
Weird idea could you raise a bus roof in two places and sink a hot tub on the roof in the gap? Deck one end , solar the other? Love your work, you have been missed.❤️👍✌️

FootNote 20/20 thanks so much! Yes...weird idea for sure!! 😂
Awesome work Wes. Did you know Chris and G before the bus fabrication?
Not sure how wood planks were attached? Self tap screws through the metal frame? Nice job, though. Cheers!
This is something i thought of doing. Sucks I dont have that much welding experience and no fabricating skills at all 😭

I bought a Miller 211. It has an automatic setting that really helps the novice... me get the power right. I wish welding videos were more detailed... the flash really makes it hard to see fine movements on camera or off.
Gorgeous deck, dood...
You are just so creative!! Love watching you work and seeing how everything turns out! We Just posted a video announcing buying our school bus! If you can please go check it out, we are so excited to start this journey! You have been one of our inspirations to start this crazy skoolie ride so thank you!!
Can't wait to see the next Skoolie in Ca. Do they have a Channel, or are you going to add it to yours? ( this is Wade from Facebook)

Life in a Bus thanks brother!!
It can be hard to keep my mouth shut (sometimes) when I'm waiting to see whats been happening with the people I follow. More than anything, I want to comment and vent my frustration. I don't, because I am in the middle of the EXACT SAME kind of project, and I WANT to get more done, and wish there weren't the roadblocks and landmines that bar the way, but life isn't like that. Anyway, I've learned to be more patient as I've aged, so I hold my comments and wait, but I understand those who still can't quite hold theirs.
Random question: Other than falling off the side of the bus, do you have to be careful where you're walking on the roof or is the whole stout enough to support your weight? Random thought on the deck build: I noticed the end is open on the bottom of the rails when you were folding them down. Was this intentional? I would be worried that it would stain the deck when it starts to rust inside the railing. Removable rubber boots might be a good idea.
Wanted to reach out to you, I'm from the Wichita area and am working on a school bus conversion and would love to pick your brain on a lot of stuff. Hit me up if you can when your in town.
Hey Wes, Are you headed to San Diego area? Would love to utilize your services on my Motorhome ;-) How can I contact you? Paul
