This is quite revealing, in many ways. Thankfully, the Rectors survived the process of creating this space and the fact that Debra went way over budget (not my words). Seems once it was completed, Pete realized how it was worth it all (I’m sure there was some frustration getting this accomplished) and that having his wife happy, and that they could comfortably share the space was so important. Their kids may not receive a monetary inheritance, but they’ll inherit a gorgeous home. HOW LUCKY ARE DEBRA’S FRIENDS and how do I become one of them??!!!

Hands down the absolute BEST craft studio tour EVER! I really enjoyed the interviews, I related to Mrs. Rector's need for SPACE and creativity and Mr. Rector made me laugh and tear up at the same time! It was amazing to be invited into their world and wonderful relationship. I really appreciate the reprieve from all the worries in the world right now, thank you for this, Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Rector for sharing your journey and stunningly beautiful studio! I must admit, and I'm certain I'm not the only one, I wish I lived in this neighborhood; right next door to the Rectors!

This is a wonderful craft space and love the episode. One suggestion for your series, though, would be appreciated. I get the love for fast and flashy cuts in your videos, and that is great, but please will you go back and show those spaces more slowly and in more detail? I feel like I don’t get to see certain areas of some of the spaces. In this episode we only get a very few cuts of the work room in the back, that are quite quick. We don’t even get to see the whole thing. I was very interested in this space, and the details weren’t shown. The views I did get, I had to freeze frame on and it was hard to find. There were a lot of nooks and crannies I wanted to see! This area was actually bigger than the outside area, and I felt it wasn’t given its due. Please consider devoting a couple of minutes in a 24 minute video on the actual spaces. Thanks!

We are fixing an unfinished basement. This video was so helpful. My drawing plans will add a sitting area and small kitchen. (There is already a bathroom in basement). Such a lovely space and couple. Pete is so funny. He reminds me of my Husband. My Husband took the "S" off of my sign that reads "My Scrap Room". Then he cut out a capital "C". So now it reads "My Crap Room". I still keep it that way. 😀

My family and I are obsessed with this video! One, the Rectors seem like the most fun couple and we wish we could hang out with them. Two, my builder brothers are fascinated with this Pinewood Forest community. Third, and most importantly, I’m thrilled to find StampnStorage to build out my craft room, which pales in comparison to this but still very excited. I am new to crafting but have wanted to find something beyond the standard stuff available in Craft stores.

THANK YOU, Thank You, thank you! My husband and are moving (well we were, until the Pandemic) but when we leave here, (everything is packed, we just have to get the movers and GO) we are going to build our dream home. We're older and my husband has his music and I love to craft. So we're going to build a home that has my craft studio that will be large enough for friends to gather and then his music studio will be on the other side of the house. We know what we want, we just have to get a architect and build. I know it will be at least a yr or 2 from now but that will be fine. I've never seen a craft room/studio that inspired me until I saw YOURS! We plan on building a one floor home, but it will be large. Our children will inherit many cards to, along with scrap books, etc..:) When my husband is done working, I'm going to have him watch this video. My studio may be a tad smaller but this is exactly what I'm wanting. I'm disabled (I didn't even think about that or having a small bathroom) Having outlets in the drawers is a perfect idea, along with chairs that are adjustable to the ht of the person. You've given me great ideas! We will not have any family in that state, so community/friends will be very important to us. Our children and grandsons will visit and it will be fun. I'm excited again to think about the future. Thank you again for the inspiration. I too, wish we could move into a neighborhood like the one that is developed in your state, but the state we're moving to doesn't have neighborhoods like that, yet. Take care and stay Safe and Healthy!

Stunning room. I would have loved to have seen some of the 20,000 cards that the kids would inherit some day. That's one of my complaints about this room - none of her (or her friends) work is displayed. I love seeing other cards while I create and it helps to inspire me to create more. There was a brief shot of what looked like scrapbooks on a shelf in the back room, but that was it.

Laura P, thank you for your comments. The video of my studio was filmed by Stamp-n-Storage to promote and market their fabulous products. It isn’t meant to showcase my cards and projects or those created by friends. I share regularly through the many FB groups I belong. I actually do have cards displayed in several racks that are not pictured in the video. They were removed to keep the focus on SNS products.

I didn't see it that way at all. I felt like he was just making his point that even though he had been concerned about the budget, in the end he realized that it wasn't the most important thing. He reached the conclusion that the joy it brings is what matters.
