Craft with me

In todays video I use the background I created inspired by a digital from the curious case of craftly hall kit and create a fun, interesting decorative piece. I wanted to share how you can use a digital kit in a different way than just in a journal.
The digital is by ‪@TracieFoxCreative‬

Thanks so much, love dangles on projects because I like how they add texture and movement to a piece. 😊

I did like the die cut flowers tucked under the left hand page- it was like a pressed flower the lady had slipped in the book???? I was really happy to see you continuing to play on this piece. Thanks for the share ❤

Thank you, that's a lovely idea about the flower. This was a project I was hoping to do during the final week of the challenge, but I didn't get round to it, and I was still wanting to share it. 😊

I agree with you, it's hard to give up Craftly Hall crafting, so carry on! The original digis that you fashioned your background piece on is one of my favs too. I think you did a great rendition of it.

I love that you recreated that page and also how this turned out. I kept thinking...that doilie will bend when she closes this journal and then remembered....this is Not a journal, but a flat piece....it looks good Audrey 💙🖖

Very nice project. I too love this couple. I used to collect bookmarks from every national park we visited but now I read e-books or listen on audible.

Thank you 😊. I like to collect bookmarks from places to. I also enjoy ebooks and audio books, but I enjoy reading a physical book the most. I normally have 1 of each type on the go at all times 😊

Yet another gorgeous make! You’ve made this printable into something very special. I’ve so enjoyed your entire creeponjune series❣️ While watching your series you’ve used “teabag charms” that you made. Do you have or could you make a tutorial on how you’ve made them? Very cool creation. Thanks for sharing your gift with us. Love your creative style and all the interesting banter during your videos. Ooops! I’ve found your video “stained glass”. Diving in now. Thanks!!!

Thank you, I'm glad you found the video, I hope you find it useful. I love the look of the embossed teabag charms, but they can be messy. I now do all the embossing part in my bead tray as it keeps the embossing powder from going everywhere until it's melted enough to pick up and heat from underneath. 😊

I love this make, Bel! It reminds me of a very old ratty book. I like the leaves that you put on the left side! It makes the page look as if nature had grown through it. Like you, Bel, I like everything to go together in a journal! I like making up a story for my journals, and keep all the ephemera true to the theme. ~Janet in Canada

Thank you. Yes it does look like nature is growing though the book, and I really enjoy using that technique in project's, it's as if nature is reclaiming it. 😊

I am so glad your still playing with kit scraps. I am definitely enjoying this project. Have you ever done a Poe or Sherlock journal. I would love to do do you do a start to finish journal in a creepy/ mysterious vibe. I love to read. I am reading a really great series taking place in the south ( which is where i live) and each book is a mystery. These books are light & often funny...very different from my usual reading. I need to make some bookmarks too!! I look for your videos as soon as I wake up everyday...really enjoy you Bel.

Thank you so much, I really do appreciate your kind words they make me smile. I have made quite a few gothic journals, I have a playlist on my channel, and I think there was one with Poe elements. Never done a Holmes one before though. I have rarely done start to finishes on my larger journals, just flip through, as it takes me quite a while and a lot of indecision when I make them 😂.

😅😅😅 we're definitely creatively similar, but way different readers because i dog ear pages and use whatever is in my hand as a bookmark (receipts, torn paper, sticky notes, a sock on occasion 😂)

😂😂😂. My perfectionist tendencies really take over with books 😶. I like them to look beautiful which is why I prefer hardbacks and special editions, especially if they have sprayed edges. It's so hard not to break the spine with paperbacks and then they don't look neat on the bookcase. I even enjoy picking out the right bookmark before I start my next read. It's a whole thing 😂.
