Craft Show Shelves

I need this set of shelves for set up at craft shows, but I'll also use it for letting things dry after I paint them. I really could have used them recently when I was painting my kitchen cabinet doors.

They have been great! If I was doing it again I might use shelving board instead of plywood to reduce the weight, but shelving board might not stay as flat. Sorry I didn't respond sooner!

Little late to the show, but that's a really cool and simple idea thank you for the video I'll probably try it out this year.

Awesome! I am still enjoying this set of shelves. Though if I did it again I would pay extra for shelving board or make something from 1x2's and 1/4 inch plywood because the plywood shelves are HEAVY. Thanks for watching.

How did your stand hold up? If someone bumps into it, is it wobbly? Thinking of making something like this for displaying fruit.

Its been great, but I've only used it indoors on level ground. I love how it collapses down for easy storage in between events.

How sturdy are they on grass with wind?

Barbara C I would definitely level it on grass with block screwed or clamped to the bottom. As for wind you can put heavier items in the bottom shelf to weigh it down or tie it off to a canopy if you’re using one. Best of luck and thank you for watching.

I have been looking at maybe doing this for my soap booth....Any tips on how to do this project for someone who has a very, and I mean very limited understanding of woodworking. Just for referance I was going to make some soap molds that are wood. I couldn't get them together right. It made me quite sad lol and wondering if these may be doable for me. Any tips

My best suggestion would be to work with a friend that enjoys woodworking. I think most woodworkers are happy to share their knowledge and workshop. This project is easier if you have a table saw, miter saw, and a Kreg jig to make the connections. I'm sorry I don't have a better response for you, but thank you for watching and let me know if you have any other questions.

The uprights are 17.25 inches by 72 inches made from stock that is about 1 and 5/8 inches wide. the horizontals are 13 and 7/8 inches long. the shelves are 6 feet long and 11 and 7/8 inches wide. I didn't do a full 12 inch width because then with the saw kerf I wouldn't be able to get four pieces from one sheet of plywood. I thought about running the shelves a full 8 feet long but have been happy with how six feet sets up in a standard 10 by 10 craft booth space. Thank you for watching!
