Just watched this episode of Cracking the Code on SBS in Australia. It was pretty well produced. The story of cracking Zodiac's codes was fascinating. Nice work, David & Co.

Hi David, could you clarify the z340 key credited to you by Nerdist in their z340 article please? It has interesting properties but it doesn't match your final correct key at all. It looks like a modified version of the 408 key more than it resembles the 340 key.

Z340 is not a cipher. It is a translation, you solve it with Google translator. It will be a Middle Eastern language and requires two steps, cut and paste with even the special characters and detect language. Reverse steps to get English from squiggles. The show and solve was incorrect in a few other places. EVERY SINGLE CIPHER IS REALLY A TRANSLATON. eXAMPLE: z13 says in Hindi, - no name, Z32 is Teluga. Broke the remainder 16 lines in Z340. All riddles were solved. (he didnt know how to cipher and he lived in Azberjani for awhile. ) Every single cipher is solved this way by the zodiac. His last name is in Z340 (but that only is ciphered) and his full name is in Z408. Now you know. It takes 15 min to solve Z13 and Z32, and less than a day to solve all in entirety. No David, that was not his name in Z13. Do you think hes that stupid??? Well he is but not THAT stupid. I cant believe no one can solve it. . Do you understand why there is no key ??? So stop looking for one. This is how to reverse engineer them. It solves every one. But they can differ slightly in that case you use another one of the 37 offshoots of Arabic.
Hey you should check out the trailer for Minecraft Legends. There is a book with curious texts, and I know nothing about cracking stuff :c
