If this were your house and you didn't want the cracked design then there'd be no point in having the durable glass panels on both sides. *Or do you think one durable glass panel would be safe enough and/or better than 2 durable glass panels and 1 cracked tempered glass panel in the middle? I'm just asking for your preference now that I've said this. I'd personally go with the more protective 3 layers either way.

Its the speed of sound in glass. 4540 m/s Thats the maximum speed of cracking i would guess since the actual speed is lower than that between 1500-1700 m/s. For example if you had a glass panel perfectly straight 4540 meters long, and pushed it from the farthest end, it would take 1 second for the other side to move. I guess the crack not being perfectly straight could have something to do with it being lower?

Much faster than the speed of sound in air.

First video shows it has 3 glass panel. They only cracked the middle one. But yeah the Cost will be very expensive 🫣

Explanation: if you did not know what’s happening here there are three layers of glass. He is breaking the middle one, and the other two are holding it from breaking it all. It comes out to look like that beautiful texture. Hope this helps.

The science behind glass/sand is actually very interesting. Look at how fast (almost immediately) the cracks appeared to the whole panel. They’re extremely compacted

If you want to get specific, you can call it melted sand or compacted sand instead of glass. Glass is simply a name we give to a form of sand. 😅
