    Reminds me of the Japanese art Kintsugi, repairing broken pottery with gold. Very cool and beautiful piece!

    I'm familiar with the technique :) My wife has a golden crack tattoo on her shoulder, and since her showing me the technique, I tend to try my best to enhance flaws instead of trying to hide :) Thank you!!

    Interesting project idea? The crosscuts with the cracks radiating out from the center looks like a spider web. What about either finding a log with many crosscuts, and score it deep enough to make it really look like a web and fill with resin, or use a bunch of crosscuts, score them, put in a mold with resin then make a bowl???? One last 'or' Would it be possible to find a really, really big crosscut and do the same, just make it a HUGE spiderweb? Or would that not be something that could be turned?

    I dont have any specific video on the coating technique, however I will be working on getting a few of the rotisseries made up for sale in the future. At which point I will probably do a technique specific video. :)

    I think I got started about 2-3 years prior to starting the channel, but not nearly as frequently as now, it was more of a hobby then. But once the covid shutdown happened here in PA I had to let my previous business go and get busy doing something that I could do working from home. :)

    Are you able to use standard HSS tools when using resin? If so, is there a particular technique? That was an awesome bowl, great color and shine.

    Hello Michael, you can use high speed steel but there is a high likelihood of getting chip-out in the resin.

    The syringes I use are disposables, I get them in bulk on amazon. Very handy! :)

    The finish on this one is clear epoxy resin.

    Yea, for my first video project it was a bit stressful coming to the realization that the piece was not nearly as dry as I had thought. But all in all it was a lesson. :)
