Crab Pizza: Dip or Pizza? || Really Dough?

Mark and Scott are back, but this time, the guys are taking their pizza knowledge on the road! The infamous duo are kicking off their road trip at Joe Squared Pizza in Maryland to catch up with Scott’s friend Chef Joe Edwardsen and get a taste of his crab pizza. Cooked at over 900 degrees, the crisp sourdough crust is topped with Maryland crab, eggs, and cheese. Will pizza purist Mark call this pizza? Can Scott and Mark’s friendship stand the test of a one night trip? And more importantly, how will Mark kick Scott out of his pizzeria if they are on the road?
What makes a pizza, a pizza? Lucali owner and old-school Brooklyn pizzaiolo Mark Iacono has a strict pizza formula: sauce, cheese, and dough. That’s it. But renowned pizza enthusiast Scott Wiener believes that the beauty of the slice comes from its creative customizability; even if it’s topped with cheeseburgers or constructed with paella. Scott travels all over America to spotlight the country’s most unique pies and make a case for whether these new customizations can, in fact, still be considered a pizza. This time, he’s taking Mark along for the ride on an East Coast road trip to try the craziest concoctions claiming to be pizza... but are they really dough?

When Mark took the first bite of the crab pizza, the guy in the background just *sensed* how impactful the moment was that was going on behind him and instinctually turned to witness the historic moment with his own eyes.
Scott: Mark was being fussy so I thought back to his pizza rules Mark: did you get a girlfriend yet.😂

Hey Scott, it means the the entire universe you wore our Grandma Pizza shirt. I'm at home crying tears of joy. The egg drizzle all over the pizza though was really intensely orgasmic.

This show is made by the relationship between Mark and Scott and awesome pizzas. The new season doesn't lose what is great about it by Mark being more open minded about the definition of a pizza.

Mark almost made me tear up. Of the episodes I have seen, he comes across as the Simon Crowell of Pizza judging. He shocked me me when he said he liked the crab pizza. it's crazy for me as a brazilian to see any form of resistence from toppings, you'll easily find all sorts of toppings in big pizzerias in São Paulo (there's a massive italian colony here, some might say even bigger than the portuguese one), honestly i find Mark's purism beautiful tho. Excelent episode, like always.
