If you’re a Model 3/Y owner, then you know our AC systems suffer from a poor design that allows for dirt, grime, mold, and bacteria growth within our evaporative AC coils that make for a sour smelling AC when first turning your Tesla on. In warmer, more humid climates, this is even more pronounced.
The repair procedure for this has always been to replace the air filters, and clean the coils with a foaming AC coil cleaner. Unfortunately, there has never been a way to force the foam through the coil fins for a deep cleaning. Without the ability to force the foam through, you’re only cleaning the face of the coils/fins, which is an ineffective way to get rid of the foul odor, and will only provide temporary relief.
CPR Tesla Repair is offering a new product that will now remedy that issue! Our new Magic Injection Plate was designed specifically for servicing the Model 3 & Y AC coils! The Magic Injector Plate provides a backing to the evaporative expanding foam cleaner, allowing the form to be forced through the length of the fins and coils, instead of just expanding into the filter space and only cleaning the face of the fins and coils.
It’s a simple 25 minute procedure, and this kit includes everything needed to perform it, including a set of upgraded activated carbon air filters, the foaming AC cleaner, CPR Tesla Repair’s Magic Injection Plate, all the tools required fort he job, and detailed instructions in English with pictures for each step!
The upgraded air filters included with the kit are N98 HEPA filters with four layers of filtration. They consist of a dust filter, honeycomb bonded carbon composite layer, HEPA filter, and a strong anti-bacteria layer.
We recommend performing this service to your Tesla Model 3or Y annually to prevent any future foul odors coming from your AC.
