The second Backyardigans Tribute Video of 2024 focuses on a song from season 2’s “Movers of Arabia”, a song that is actually the same exact title of a Stevie Wonder classic. “I Wish” showcases a very likeable surf rock vibe and another excellent lead vocal performance from the loveable purple kangaroo himself, Austin. I feel the setup that I created for “I Wish”, showcasing a husband telling his wife about seeing a city ruled by a genie that can grant wishes to many citizens if they say those two magic words, was a pretty great way to bring the song’s whole concept and message to life. And one small thing, this BTV was partly inspired by the latest Disney animated feature, Wish, a movie I found to be magically wonderful.
