This is officially the 25th Backyardigans Tribute Video we’ve made in 2023, and I felt that 25 looked like a good number of BTVs to fill the year up with. As it’s the Christmas season, I decided to wrap this year up with another Christmas-themed BTV, and settled with choosing a song that wasn’t particularly Christmas-related, but felt it was a good one for the setup I came up with. Some of my recent BTVs also focused on songs from Season 2, so I felt it would be appropriate to close the year out with a song from Season 1, the theme from the episode “High Tea”, “Perfect Cup of Tea”, a very fun Irish romp that showcases some joyful vocals from Tasha herself, Kristin Klabunde. I think I’ve come up with a really good scenario to combine the basic premise of the episode with a Christmas theme, involving me playing a filmmaker taking a Christmas break and showing reluctance to visit a huge tourist attraction for the Christmas holidays, just like how Pablo, Tyrone and Uniqua showed reluctance to join Tasha’s tea party. I also decided to give brief mentions to some of the achievements we’ve made throughout the year, particularly the victory at Brisbane’s Focus on Ability screening, as well as give a special thanks to the whole crew during the credits and send a “Merry Christmas” message.
