your thoughts on the cruel prince is so valid! its definitely HEAVILY marketed and talked about for the “enemies to lovers” aspect, which is sort of a side plot i’d say. i would say the politics and plot generally gets decreased in the other books, it definitely feels less plot heavy in the third book, but im only halfway thru it.

i love these kind of videos, and your content is so satisfying 😭👌🏻...

The Atlas Six was a bit of an odd book, I personally enjoyed it but I know a lot of people didn't. Just in case you don't/didn't enjoy it I want to say that the second book is SO much better and it really just delivers the way I wanted the first book to. So if you didn't like it much the second book is still worth a try and if you did like it you'll still like the second book too!

Woah, I was looking for a youtube channel that will inspire me and give me the motivation to try out new stuff this summer, and be that multiple hobbies kinda girl, and here u are... And btw, ab the Cruel Prince, I've read the trilogy earlier this year anddd lemme tell u that I myself didn't like the first book that much, i bet i gave it 3 stars as well, but trust me, it gets way better with the second book "The Wicked King" and the 3rd "The Queen Of Nothing", I gave the whole serie a 4 stars, plus, there is definitly more romance in those last 2 books

I don’t know if you’re into asian folklore but since you’re into fantasy, I just wanted to recommend a series I finished recently and loved. It’s the Song of the Last Kingdom series (just two books) by Amelie Wen Zhao! 💕

I missed your videos Jem, I used to spend my afternoons watching your channel a long time ago 💕 About the cruel prince, I have to admit that the first book seemed a bit boring sometimes due to the expectations I had because of the opinions of the people on Tiktok, but I decided to read the second and it encouraged me to continue reading the trilogy. If you plan to give it a second chance, I think that the second book allows you to understand the characters better and perhaps grow fond of them. I was pleasantly surprised, although my opinion may be subjective ☺️

i actually read the whole series bc of tiktok hype as well and it also was not my fave (i feel like my favorite fantasy series of all time is the throne of glass series by sarah j maas). i also hated her sister throughout the series; i felt like not only was her sister useless but also created problems for absolutely no reason at all??? anyways back to watching you after a long break, sending lots of love!!
