Great video and very informative. Like watching your videos vs the guys up north as we don’t have to deal with certain things they do. (Ice,extremely cold weather). Always look forward to a new video from you. Have recommended your channel to several of my trapping buddies that trap here in the south. Good stuff, really enjoy the explanation(s) behind each set you make. Always trying to learn how others are doing it or possibly doing something a little different. I like the smaller traps for the money, the ability to pack more in my sealed containers, and they don’t do as much damage to the feet if I decide to live market any animals.

Congrats on the bobcat buddy! I’ll see what I can do. Honestly I catch a lot of cats because we just have a LOT of cats here. Haha. If I was anywhere else it might be a different story.

About how many coyotes do yo end up catching a year just curious. I tried using the double dirt hole and payed off the second night thanks for the tip

Generally about 100. Had a few more than that this year though…I caught 81 from September 1 - December 24

Milligans, Tom Miranda, Cavens…that’s about the only three or four I use. I make some for myself that’s pretty good too.

Question for you. Do you take your finger and pack the dirt down in between the jaw and trap pan? So really the only place where dirt won’t be packed solid is on top of the pan. Just wondering how you do it

Yes. I find that any loose dirt, even between the pan and the jaw can cause an animal to dig the trap. So I pack everything that I can.

Duke 650's have a huge pan, why not use larger traps?

I use the smaller traps for a few reasons: money being one, I run several properties and have to haul lots of traps and I can put more in my sealed boxes if they’re smaller, and in SC a 650 is not legal to use on dry land because the jaw spread is too wide…also, I do some live market trapping and the bigger traps tend to damage the feet too much to sell.

Be in the best spots possible. I would make sure whatever bait/lure is working best was on at least every other set

Gland lure is definitely a must during breeding. If you catch a female in heat keep the dirt from catch circle n use a little at each set. Good advice thank you. He's no fool that gives what he can not keep, to gain what he can not loose. Come to Jesus, put your faith on God's grace. Give away.
