In 2021, Ceedee played the majority of the time as the X WR after Gallup got hurt. Cedrick Wilson was in the slot that year. Ceedee still lead the team in yards. To say he didn't touch the outside when Amari was there is simply not true.

the fact that Shady and Joy are the ones vouching for Ceedee is almost unbelievable. the way the media keeps moving the goalpost for cowboys players never ceases to amaze me. Everybody was up in arms when Cooper Kupp who prior to the 2021 season was NOWHERE near being called an elite WR. McVay figured out a way to constantly scheme him to get open and put up those numbers and when he did ppl were saying considering him as the best or at minimum a top 5 WR cuz of his production. nobody questioned if his was a #1. Nobody questions how good Travis Kelce is but Andy Reid schemes him to get open. Nobody says it about Deebo but Kyle Shanahan uses him all over the place. Give the man his props and stop tryna change the narrative when it comes to Cowboys players

As an Eagles fan, CeeDee scares me more than any offensive player on that team. I did question whether he was a true #1 receiver, but the last few weeks showed me that he is. I disagree with his own opinion that he is the best in the league though.

I don’t get why people hate on Lamb maybe cause he plays for the cowboys. Cooper Kupp is the same player as him but he got all the praise in the world

Cooper Kupp won the triple crown while working in and out the slot Michael Thomas 4-5 yrs ago had a monster season working in out and off of the slot Ceedee lamb literally been a beast since high school, my high school saw him twice and he cooked our defense but they beat him to get to the state title. Moral of the story, Ceedee been him since diapers, put some respect on his name

Being a great receiver is not about triple crowns. If you’re truly great you can open up things for your lesser talented teammates and score a ton of TD. That’s not who Lamb is. Go look at the 2007 Patriots team.

@@o4tw382 as a Cowboys fan, Cedarian Lamb is a #1. He got 191 against Eagles defense starters. What did AJ Brown get? Less that 100, D. Smith? Less than 100 yards. So if a true #1 like AJ Brown gets stopped from reaching big numbers, but is still considered a top WR, then Ceedee is a #1 definitely after getting big numbers with one handed catches here and there. It's just giving respect to talent regardless of numbers.

It's not a question of production and numbers because it's elite. The topic is position based . Look at that game against the Giants he did a lot of his damage on the inside while "Cooks" who put up more yards on the outside and actually had a better game . I can’t believe I’m agreeing with Shady and not with James! Lamb has been a number 1 receiver since Cooper left Dallas! Just because he wasn’t lined up on the outside doesn’t mean he couldn’t burn you everywhere else! Also if he wasn’t a true number 1 then who was? Gallup, Noah Brown? Gallup isn’t even a number 2 this year and Btown is at Houston getting playing time only because of injuries! Lamb is Dak’s go to guy and the best offensive weapon on this team! The same team that last year was number 1 in scoring offense!

Ceedee put up 191yds on Philly🤷🏾‍♂️ since the SF game McCarthy has given Dak the greenlight to call plays. Dak made comments about getting Cooks involved more the week before and his first pass goes to Cooks in the Giants game. Cook's first game with 10+ targets and gets 173 on 9 catches and a TD on top of Ceedee getting 171 on 11 catches and a TD. Ceedee is open almost EVERY PLAY definitely playing the best rn. He'll probably be leading the league after this Panthers game this weekend😂 he's only back about 90yds

I’m normally with Jones but I disagree totally. Amari Cooper would disappear during pivotal times; CeeDee comes to play every, single, game. He’s a guy you’d want to go to war with! In respects to them “scheming” him open, that’s a testament to the greatness of McCarthy. There’s tons of coordinators who lack the creativity to scheme their top dogs open. Lamb is becoming a matchup nightmare; that’s a great thing. Keyshawn’s hating on mans because of that drip. Best dressed player in the league, and he backs it up on the field.

To say lamb isn’t a number 1 is kinda crazy but it’s also crazy to say he’s THE best he’s clearly not no issue with going to the slot to get easier matchups but it’s true he’s not having these kind of performances playing out on the outside almost all game and teams bracket coverage towards reek and JJ more than any other WRs and they still get it done outside way more than lamb id still take reek JJ AJ tae jamar and diggs over lamb still he’s been good but he’s not the best clearly

CeeDee wasn't a number 1 until this season. he started showing the signs in longer streaks at the end of last season but this year he's finally fixed his issue of dropping catches. The main reason he's shining now is the scheming for him, not the schemes themselves but the belief in him to execute, he caused many INTs last year because under kellen moore the offense was no schemes but just go beat your guy. He would change his rout mid route or give up on balls. Now he's being told what to do and he's excelling at it because now he has confidence in his actions and doesn't have to overthink everything. CeeDee is at his best when he knows exactly where to be and where the ball is coming.

Respect to Shady for giving props where it's due. This book has been closed and it's insane to me to question if he's a 1.... always moving the goal posts. And in 2022 Lamb DID NOT live on the inside as James Jones stated. He played 50/50 in the slot and the outside. Keep in mind, he was the top option by a long shot. They had no weapons at receiver. It's insane to think that as the only good receiver, he still produced 106 catches. Come on now......

Just because a WR gets most of his yards in the slot, shouldn't discredit him from being the number #1 receiver or elite. He also plays on the outside but is more dangerous on the inside.

Being the best on your team is not being a #1 Wideout in the sense of what you are being asked to do. Just how a back-up QB does not use the whole playbook However Ceedee lamb is both the best WR *AND* he is being asked to do number 1 things, not just the slot anymore, the elite receivers are hard to even number in order but they are. Jefferson, Tyreek, Chase, Adams, Diggs, Ceedee, Deebo, AJ Brown
