Totally agree with such a deep TE draft in the later rounds they blew this draft in 2023 with Overshown and Luepke being the top picks. First 2 rounds were head scratching picks how is that possible

Especially when even last year it was clear that Jake Ferguson was gonna to replace Dalton Schultz. Like there's no way that Schoonmaker was ever going to challenge Jake so the pick is ever more wasted

It really wasn't. They drafted him on his RAS and the fact that his college production was very similar to the other big 10 TEs which are dominating the league. He just hasn't been healthy enough to grow

You are so right. Especially after the rookie years Ferg & Hendershot had. Then J.T. Steven shows out before injury. Now they have Brevyn in the mix. I hate to think what other positions they could’ve filled.

You can't forget about spann-ford also

Im really disappointed. Schoons pick really did make sense, given his college production and his elite of elite RAS (seriously, his numbers look more like a wr than TE). Dudes stats said he could be Kittle or Kelce... but he can't stay healthy enough to learn.

You also have Stephens & Leupke who can play H Back, Fullback, TE...

John Stephen’s Jr will be TE #2 soon. Behemoth Spann Ford maybe #3 or #4. I wouldn’t mind taking a hit placing Schoonmaker on PS. Dudes 26 yrs old already

This just looks horrible when you zoom out & look a the big picture.. 1st(Mazi), 2nd(Schoonmaker), 3rd(Demo), & 4th(Fehoko Jr.) round picks are all injured. Injuries mean no reps. Reps mean no progression. These guys need to be out there & Healthy.

Schoon isn't even Martellus Bennett.

Not that big a deal. This time of year all the little tweaks begin with the players getting their motors started. We have some serious TE's not sweating it!

They got focused on LaPorta and rage picked Schoon when they lost out. Schoon will be a bust. Mazi will be fine playing the right position at the right weight for Zimmer.

why do people love hendershot so much? maybe i just dreamt this, but hasnt he had multiple awful/ inexcusable drops? drops that lead to easy ints? not to mention hes not the greatest run blocker... idk why cowboys nation gives so many random guys free passes.

It was a stupid pick in the first place and now its showing with constant injuries 🤦🏽

Dallas' drafting acumen is way overrated. Can they draft 1st round OL? Absolutely! They even do a great job more often than not with all their 1st round picks. After that first round though, Dallas is trash with a few gems here and there. I knew when they drafted the big bum TE that it was a terrrible pick.
