The fact guys say Cowboy took a dive. Nevermind the fact of calling his integrity into question, but watch fight. He gets his orbital smashed in, his nose broke with a few shoulders then wobbled with a headkick to the jaw, then battered at the side of the head to the ground and smashed into a bloody mess in 40 seconds. You take that, you'd be in an ambulance on oxygen.

Yeah he admits he struggled with getting going in there.needed one round, getting punched a bit he said.he used to do better in 5 rounders cos he got better as the fight went on and the opponent got tired. him beeing a slow starter vs conor whos known to be most dangerous in the first sounds was a bad matchup from the get go.him admitting he also was just not amped up for that fight either.

The toughest bouncer in Las Vegas in the 90s, who did MMA Extreme Fighting and K-1, was flat on fight night. The people who knew him said he could beat any fighter as a bouncer at the clubs, which he was, even two at a time, but had no motivation in the ring.

Cowboy, ur the man regardless of the outcome with Conor. All of the records that you have have got to he worth more than a win or loss? Of course, we all want to win, but you came out of that fight unhurt, really, u made money. It's weird, and this is definitely no disrespect. Every analyst has said over the years that when the lights are brightest, you just don't turn it on. As a long-time fan, I know you are capable, and I know you know you are capable. I always loved watching you fight. This goes back a bit but the first Benson Henderson fight in the WEC it was like that dude was made of rubber, how many arm bars and other submissions did you try and how he got out of that fight is mind boggling. Then I think WEC also the Jamie Varner fight, that was you all day bro and he took his exit. I know it was an illegal knee, but he didn't want anymore b4 that, and that mistake gave him his out. Sucks for you, but as long as I've been watching, I've never seen you not show up. Dos Anjos fight. I believe he got you with a nasty kick to the liver, and wow, it hurt watching it. Last one when you welcomed Mr Alvarez to the UFC and completely showed him that he was no longer in Bellator. There is no disrespect to the fighters there, but it's honestly the B league. That's why the guys that fought in the UFC and just couldn't get over that hump. They go to Bellator and are Champions. Double Champs like Ryan Bader, who never would have beat Jones or Stipe to get any of those belts. Anyway, you're the man, and you have a beautiful wife and 3 beautiful sons. Godbless you and your family 🙏🏻

You can tell Donald is a company man because every big UFC fighter I have heard talk about the business say they always renegotiate after they win a couple fights.

He was very well looked after though and he used to fight 4 times a year so he'd fly through a contract.

I don't know shit about the behind-the-scenes business, but it sounds like there's more to the story than just signing long contracts. There are fighters on record (with proof of their purses online) saying the Conor fight(s) was by far the highest paying of their career. Nate Diaz and Dustin Poirier for example. I'm pretty sure they still had fights left on their contract.
