They are not scared of the human and easy to walk them to the barn and once they see the door that's open they know that's where they got to go. I remember as a little kid at my aunt small dairy farm hanging out with the cows then once old enough I started milking and a short time later they sold off all head as my cousins were all grown and married and too much for my aunt and one cousin to do. If you ever have to do that again try running a circular saw along to make the cuts. Can always run it along a board held down so you don't Nick the concrete. Bevel it a little so the tires don't hit and use an older blade.

I was thinking a saws all might be safer and more efficient way to trim the mats.
Awesome video!!!!!!!!
Try a carpet knife next time. They make them with replacement blades. They are extremely sharp and work better than the standard utility knife. Just ask my thumb it knows first hand. Another thing that may work easier is a linoleum knife. You have a great channel really enjoy watching. I used to work on a dairy farm in Northwest Pa.
Eric, I was so interested to see what was inside the basketball😂
You had me really wondering what was in the basket ball. 😅fantastic
So much work. God bless
Same mats we had for dry cows. Sawdust was a bugger for getting underneath 😂 Brilliant video 💪🏴
Glad you are going to get a new mixer. Can't wait to see it in action.
Another excellent video. Great to just tag along for all the things you do each day. Thought for sure it would be a Mountain Dew in that ball. lol
the amount of care you show for your animals is awesome...happy cows make happy milk...good man
Sometimes we think it’s all routine, but there’s always extra jobs like this that makes your hard work so much more appreciated, Every time I put cream in my coffee or any of the many times I use milk, butter or just snack on a piece of cheese I always think of you and all the outstanding farmers we have in America! I love all the veggie farmers too! Sometimes we forget how Blessed we are in the USA 🇺🇸 everyone please stay safe and stay awesome Eric!
Great stuff, hard workers all of you.
I thought there was going to be a Mountain Dew in the basketball. Nice to see you bringing back the surprise beverage.
Matt’s. Try saber saw next time. Special blade. No template needed. 2 inch blade runs along edge of bedding platform, along side of it.
The Trioliet 2-1200L mixer I use at the farm does the same thing with the screws. Sometimes, I have to get in there and shovel the screws off (off course, I take the tractor key with me so no one starts the machine!) It’s a pain in the rear...
Keep up the good work I look forward to seeing the notifications for ur videos on my phone
YES, finally the drink jokes are back!
Great video as always Eric. A skilsaw might have been more efficient for trimming those mats back.
Maybe on the new mixer you can put a cone on top of the mixer blade shaft, so nothing can accumulate. Something such as a couple of caps for compressed gas cylinders.
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always 🐄 Man!!!
Always getting the good angles love it! Keep up the great work:)
Was sure that it was going to be a pop in the basketball, but milk works too!! Keep up with the vids!
Look at all those curious cows just watching you work.
I did not see that coming. I was actually keen to see what would be in a basketball. Got me again! Never a dull moment at Eric's dairy barn . The calves really like to see you coming with the new bedding. Those mixers are such a wonderful invention. Good video 10GD. Peace.
Enjoyed the camera angles today!
Manure at the rented barn....have an oven with a timer to shut off in the space u don't use. Cook (sterilize), dry, cut into brownie size cakes, vacuseal, set your price and it could be extra income. This fun for me on practicing my selling technique. Selling manure to a farmer. This is America and we have love for you.
Y’all should add a step over the convader in the feed room instead of stepping over it and risk falling
Eric, I continue to be amazed at the amount of "stuff" there is to do around your farm. (And any farm for that matter.) Thank you for sharing. Great to see you and your dad working together. Is "young" Eric still with you'all?
Can I suggest getting a couple of linoleum/vinyl flooring knives? They can be sharpened and used over and over again to cut the matting.
Eric, you're closing in on 300,000 subscribers. Keep it going. I'm rooting for you and your farming family.
If you ever have to do that again try running a circular saw along to make the cuts. Can always run it along a board held down so you don't Nick the concrete. Bevel it a little so the tires don't hit and use an older blade.
Love the videos, how about a video on how your farm handles hoof care? Have a great day!!
Good stuff Eric, never tire of your excellent videos my friend.
Hi Dairyman, a tip for you when cutting rubber matting, if you wet the blade it will cut so much easier and quicker. Why cos you will reduce the friction on the blade also always use a brand new blade, Steve UK
Man-working right next to your old man everyday is both irritating at times and absolutely awesome at times. Cherish it all! I wish I would have more!

I worked with my dad for forty years and sometimes we wanted to strangle each other! And that he's gone all that I can really remember is how much we loved each other. Now I am working with my sons and thinking.....
LOVED the chocolate milk bit!! Reminded me of the old videos with mountain dew! 😉😂
It was a ‘moment’ when you introduced your unusual ‘find’ in your old basketball ! I’ve missed those rare and unexpected moments of humor!
When you get your new mixer put a ceramic coating on it, it will help prevent the feed from sticking to it.
Loved the choc milk basketball! Good one Eric. Enjoyed the video as always, watching you carrying out your daily activities is really informative and entertaining! Thank you!
Love the videos man ! Much love from Kansas City Mo
Cows seem happy to have some entertainment!
Eric, I love your channel. How about keeping a ladder in that silage bunker. It is just a matter of time before you turn an ankle jumping off those piles!
We have the same mats in our horse barn and they’re very hard to cut
The "What's Inside" Family are losing their shit right now. Probably yelling "that's our thing on youtube!"
Hi i am matthew from South Africa i watch your video and i love you guys
I really enjoy your channel, Eric. Funny clip with the chocolate milk in the basketball...
The cow food shredder looks a little dangerous. But it can come in handy against intruders.
