Did you get the cover made for transporting bikes, or just covering them while stationery? I didn't see the additional straps that the travel cover has in your video.

More for transporting but I only will use it if rain is forecasted. There is a cinch strap but I'd use more rope or something else to secure it from the bottom as well.

I have this cover and your installation is OK, as long as you don't drive the vehicle. Properly securing the cover would have been a good ending.

How does this hold up on the highway? I would imagine a ton of wind resistance from the loose fitting cover. Anything on that?

I haven't tested this over long periods on the highway but I would definitely strap it down as much as possible at the bottom of the cover.

So how do you go about making your rear car plate number visible when you have this bike cover on?

  • @EbikeEscape

    @EbikeEscape

I've seen some people come up with hanging it somehow (magnetic solutions or somehow pinning it to the cover) but even without the cover our license plate isn't visible. I personally don't worry too much about it.

I’m stuck between the lmt’d and the rad rover 5.. Its my desire for torque sensor vs my desire to be able to upgrade later.

I don't necessarily view the torque sensor as an upgrade. It more is about personal preference. Though the cadence sensor obviously is less sophisticated.

Hollywood racks strongly discourages using bike covers on their racks. They are not designed to take the high amount of drag caused by airflow at road speeds.

Hi does it matter if your wheels get exposed if you cover your bike. Because I worry about rust

  • @EbikeEscape

We do not think so. But another decent option for you is to could coat the surfaces with wd40 or some other oily coating to prevent rust….. just don’t spray on braking surfaces.

Does the other side of the cover, that is against the car in your video, also have their logo? I'm not sure that it's a wise move to advertise that a "Pro Bike" is under the cover. 😉

While I don't doubt the cover during transport if it is behind a vehicle there is the safety/legal concern of being able to see rear lights on the vehicle.

  • @oneplutoa

You can opt to put an external light on the rack which is what we did. But yes, check local laws and regulations.

Typically products featured on the channel are ones that I have either bought myself or I have reached out to a company asking if they are willing to send me something to check out. Besides sending the cover, Pro Bike Tool tool had no influence on whether I actually did a video. Just looking to help out others looking for quality made products.

But it will protect from rain. Main concern of mine is the connection points, terminals and the display. I like to keep them covered on long trips. Of course the bikes underneath will still get a bit dirty but at least the electrical components are covered.
