I can't imagine Josh & Ken singing their parts live, growing up without their dads by their sides. Not even a reminisce for Josh as he never met his dad. While Ken's grandma who stood as his parent, just recently passed away and he was not able to see her for the last time before she died.

Here I am who can relate to both. Lost my grandma while COVID in Aklan is rampant and I'm WFH in Makati. Was not even able to say goodbye. Raised by my grandma. Did not see my dad since I was 4. 🥹

In the Filipino culture (or prolly in other culture), we children have great regard to our parents / elderly. Most of us we would want to give back. Times wherein we just want our parents to stay still, we want to serve them and it’s time for us (children) to do the rest. We want them to rest from the tiresome days and time they give and sacrifices for us. This song hits the hardest if we have those regrets if not being able to give back and let them rest from those tiring days they spent for us. Regrets prolly due to some unforeseen events.
