Hi Russell. Love your Courtney reactions. You are a true kindred spirit with all of us when it comes to Courtney and her music. I'm not sure what I can add rather than to second everything you say. When you listen to Courtney sing and watch her perform, you are witnessing a level of greatness that most of us haven't seen in our lifetime. You mention that she is a generational talent, and I couldn't agree more. I would go even farther and say that she is the voice of a lifetime. I have never heard another artist of any age, or in any era, that has the vocal power, control and versatility that Courtney has. It's been said that Courtney can sing anything and that is absolutely true. She even had an opera video clip go viral on TikTok. Beyond vocals that are one of a kind, she has a sound that is absolutely unique. Everyone can make all of the comparisons they want, to any great artist they choose, and it will not ring true. True originality and uniqueness are rare, but it applies to Courtney. She sounds like no one we've heard before. When you hear a Courtney song, there is no doubt for even a second, who you are listening to. That combination of vocal skill, originality and the passion with which she sings are the stuff legends are made of and that classification will no doubt apply to Courtney before too much longer. I would never dream of saying I had a favorite Courtney song. Each is unique and magical in it's own way. My standard answer when someone asks about a favorite is 'The Last One I Heard'. However, I will say that I think that Courtney's version of 'Someone You Loved', more than any other song, show more facets of Courtney's fabulous talent. You get the beautiful ballad voice, the gorgeous falsetto, the signature Courtney grit and her amazing ability to transition so seamlessly between styles all within this song. It doesn't get any more perfect than this. As to future reactions, I'm going to give you one that will simply blow your mind. This is Courtney playing this recording during a live chat, so it is not her singing it live, but for those that have heard it, it is simply a spectacular piece of music. It is impossible not to love and, given what you think of Courtney's talent, I can't wait to see you react to it. You really give Courtney the response she deserves. "Iconic" and "signature" vocal are 2 important words you used to describe Courtney. I, and her legion of fans, know how unique her voice is, but it is gratifying to hear virtually everyone who reacts to Courtney confirm they have never heard anybody like her before. When you consider the multitude of singers in the world--present and past--to know she has absolutely one-of-a-kind voicings is an amazing realization. The most often comparison made has been to Janis Joplin, yet Courtney is very different from JJ even--with more versatility and melodic style, IMO. In fact, that tuneful versatility is what separates Courtney from other artists with hard rock vocals. I am subscribed to watch you continue on the Courtney Hadwin journey!

Yeah I think this is my favorite song of her "modern" stuff. I would like to suggest that you check out her version of Nutbush City Limits. She did this at 11 years of age on the Voice Kids U.K. and it really shows her stage talents and charisma. If you do check it out make sure to react to the longer version where the judge Will I. Am asks her to redo part of the song so he can see her stage moves. He never spun his chair around and really regrets it after watching her. Just a marvelous performance.

Great reaction, RFR! I believe you're ready to hear what I feel are the BEST vocals Courtney has every recorded. THIS. WILL BLOW. YOU. AWAY! 🔥🔥🔥 The song is called "LOVE HURTS". It's not the early 70's Nazareth tune, but a more recent one by Swiss writer/singer, Miss Li. The only negative is that the song is played from a laptop during one of Courtney's live streams with her fans, but this performance is well worth listening to. It will give you chills. 🔥🔥🔥 Here's the link - kzread.info/dash/bejne/lKWOzKaLiNzef9I.html

Todd, I am not sure what you would consider a soft voice or whether Courtney would ever do one that did not erupt emotionally at some point, but you might search for her singing "Say Something", if you have not already heard her sing it. She has a couple of fine versions out when she was only 10-11.

I don't know how you take suggested reactions and it may be a good thing if you ignore the video I'm suggesting because you may not survive it. There is a video of Courtney playing a studio recording of a cover of "Love Hurts" in which her voice is on another level. I have been a Courtney fan since 2018 and have watched every video of Courtney many times and this is my favorite pure vocal performance by her but, again, maybe you shouldn't go there I'm not sure you can handle this one.

@@anthonypeterson1359 I don't know for sure where that rumor started from, although I think I might, but Courtney actually told us in her live chat that day that they were thinking too release and Miss Li herself wanted her to do her vocals on it. (It's Miss Li's song). But they just didn't release it at that time. She also said a few months later that they went to redo her vocal track again (I think this time they were thinking to release it with maybe a different mix), but she said her vocal track just wasn't as "Raw" as when she 1st recording it, as she termed it, and nothing ever happened with it. Never did she mention a copyright problem with it, as Miss Li gave her permission too do it. This is Miss Li's version. kzread.info/dash/bejne/mXh4ysOjYs_YqZs.html She sings it a little big different all the time. But this is the music track Courtney used almost exact, but with mostly real instrument and more backing tracks.

What Courtney does is like holding a child’s hand she’ll take you by the hand slowly lead you into a song making you feel all the lyric, then she’ll , build on its….build on it…..build on it then ……boom floor you with overwhelming vocals, very few artist floor me with their vocals , a few are Adele, Dido, Paloma Faith, Amy Lee. I’m hesitant but confident Courtney is going to be bigger than all of these.
