My only concern is this generation of listeners will not appreciate the dynamic musical genius she brings on stage. I pray she never gets discouraged or depressed. A true prodigy.

@@jennross6466 No one's saying she's overtaking Janis Joplin lol, but this little talented woman is doing what Janis was doing a solid 40 years ago before her way-too-soon passing: making her own sound. The genres are somewhat similar (James Brown and Janis Joplin, funk and blues, they overlap a bit), and I honestly think their ranges are similar. They're possibly both mezzo sopranos, I'm no expert. But I think a lot of people just hear a woman doing funky rock music and think Janis. In all reality, Janis is probably one of the most well-known female artists with this type of style, so it's no surprise that Courtney would be compared to her for even sharing a few of the same traits. I'm 25 and the first thing I thought of was Janis Joplin + Big Brother and the Holding Company; I don't have much knowledge of other 60s-70s era psychedelic rock stuff. I'd die to hear this girl cover Misery'n; her voice has matured since this and I wonder what she'd do with a somewhat slower song.

What she does can’t be taught. She’s got something others just don’t. Rare.........definitely should be the winner!

I saw a KZread video that the reason she went on “America’s Got Talent” instead of “Britain’s Got Talent” is that they “don’t get her” in the UK. Her talent is more appreciated in America.

I'm not ashamed to say I'm old, and I remember Janis Joplin well, she was my favorite singers,first time I heard this girl it gave me chills without a doubt she's got that special something Janice has, the voice,the stage presence, even her choice of clothes that fits the performance. But this girl has even took it to another level, as if combining many of the icons from CCR,James brown,Janice Joplin,Tina Turner. I'm not sure what it is,since it's quite rare, hope whoever signs this girl doesn't limit her, she's a natural,just let her go her way.hope her father keeps a close eye after seeing what vultures did to some of the greatest icons.

ya I’m old, too, and damn I can’t stop watching Courtney’s videos!!! She reminds me of what real rock and roll was; how artists back then strived to be unique and didn’t worry about commercial success. They just did it because they loved it! Most everyone can see this in Courtney already and I can’t wait to see what she does in the future. I just hope she takes the advice already given and she doesn’t change a thing....just continue to be herself!

I think my favorite part of this is when Simon walks over to Howie and hugs him. Also, the band's performance -- this is what rock bands used to bring in the 60's; they're having a great time. I hope she will continue to pursue her music identity, but in small venues. Why? Because she's so young she needs to spend some time just growing up. I grew up on this music, when bands and not tracks, performed live. I wish her all the success in the world.

one thing is a fact it is the more i listen to COURTNEY the more i have to ! i can not get enough of her ! because she makes me feel better about my self !

I am at a loss to describe the talent of this young girl, the best thing to happen to music in a long time she is going to be huge people just need to vote for her to give her the platform to excel that she so deserves

This young girl is amazing! She certainly is original and talented. When she is performing she is absolutely fearless. She owns the stage! I've never seen anyone quite like her. And she is so adorable you can't help but root for her.

Both sides of my family all musically inclined but me. Sometimes we adults forget and think we too old to bring back what we used to day dream about being in front of an audience and sing our hearts out.. This amazing and talented little girl is living proof of the inspiration she gives me at this late and age and find what I've lost and believe it's never too late for greatness and hope to inspire others as she has done for me and give back what she has given to all of us

She is an awesome young woman. If she continues her singing, she will definitely be a force to be reckoned with. Even now, I would buy an album of hers. You go girl !!

Don’t change anything about you Courtney, you are phenomenal and so unique, yes, in the end you are going to be recognized as the amazing singer and performer that you are. I am stunned that you are not where you ought to be but you will get there. I never get tired of watching you again and again. I just hope I can go to one of your future concerts.

No one could have watched this video more than I have. She is off the chart! Amazing! She’s won as far as I’m concerned and she’s different and she’s the real deal. What a rare find! It’s about time! When you hear a song from Courtney you know it's her right away. That is the Hallmark of a great singer. I was so inspired by her voice that I created and posted some remixes of a few of her songs on my channel. People will always try to compare her with other artists but she is an amazing original talent. She only continues to get better and better.
