Hi. Great reaction and a really good analysis. This is such a beautiful song and highlights Courtney's truly beautiful and versatile voice. As you say, even though it's a gorgeous slow ballad, the vocal power is still there. It just reinforces the fact that Courtney can sing in virtually any genre and do so exquisitely. All artists have there comfort zones, but we've yet to see where, or if, there is an end to Courtney's comfort zone, because she can do so much vocally. I love the lyrics to this song. Some classic lines like 'I'm strong enough to tell you I'm feeling weak' or 'I don't want to love you just to lose myself again'. Courtney did write the song. She collaborated on this song, and all of her releases so far, with Kevin Bowe, who is a music producer of quite some renown. He has worked with artists such as Joe Cocker, Etta James, Three Dog Night, Johnny Lang, etc. I don't know who does what when it comes to writing the music for their songs. The video was filmed on the coast of Spain. Courtney has said that this song was mostly about her struggles with the music industry, her label and her difficulties in getting her original music out, so you were spot on when you surmised that meaning to the song. Interesting that you mention the possibility of Courtney in films. She does has some experience in the theater. When she was younger, she had significant roles in stage productions of 'Les Miserables' as young Cosette and in 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof'. Although most have been taken down now, because her posts focus almost exclusively on her music, in the past she has posted a number of TikToks of her doing really intense and emotional acting skits. She is truly a brilliant actress. So much so that she had to explain to many fans that she was just acting and no one had actually hurt her or broken her heart. What we see over and over again is that Courtney is truly a creative genus, whether it relates to all aspects of creating music, ideas for themes for her music videos (which all come from her) or in the acting arena. Artists with that kind of talent come along very rarely, and Courtney is certainly a generational level talent.

Another excellent reaction! This video is special in a number of ways. Courtney's first release of an original song, first release as an independent artist and first concept video. Her album was supposed to be out this month but I think it might take until next I don't know, and there may or may not be a single or two to hold us over. But the short clips of songs she posted sound like an album well worth waiting for.
