Courtney probably has been the single biggest reason, I have dove into running so hard again. The attitude she has on every run she goes on is amazing. It’s all a mental battle and she can just put it aside and have a such happy go lucky attitude. I think about it every run and I have been blowing through goals. From 0 miles a week 6 months ago to 30 miles a week now. With my first 50k in 3 months. LFG Keep Hammering baby. And I take Camerons mental of just doing it for yourself and no body else. Cameron, Courtney, Andrew huberman and Nick Bare have fueled my life, keep killing it Cameron. You have changed my life without even knowing me. 🇺🇸🙏🏻

That's the opposite of what she is saying. Also, you aren't competing. If you're jacked up at work you should probably get it checked out. If you need the money to keep your family going I understand. But the company you work for will replace you tomorrow. Don't suffer for them unnecessarily

Amazing woman. I hope the people that convinced her to drop out immediately followed that sage advice with some pizza!

As a beginner, I struggle with this so much. A year ago I ignored the pain in my leg and then had to quit running for a few weeks until it healed. So frustrating!

what's to worry about pushing the limits and dying and doing what you love and what gives you meaning and purpose? if you are afraid of dying, then you really just don't understand what it's all about. you are just afraid to let go of the physical shit you have that means nothing. it's all a f'n game, just play it and whatever happens happens.

People are always trying to figure out what makes individuals like Courtney or David Goggins tick. Stop. There is nothing for you to figure out. The vast majority of people simply do not possess the hard wiring to do what Courtney does.

Goggins is a cartoon version of endurance racers. I got into endurance racing because of Goggins but after doing a 4000 mile bike race I realized Most racers aren’t like Goggins. The longer the distance more intellectual they are. Drs, Lawyers, phd students and people over age of 50 could do better than more athletic people. The race I did was the 4000 mile trans am bike race. I thought it was a crazy impossible task but that wasn’t the vibe I got from the racers. They had less limiting beliefs for whatever reason.

Also most racers who do badass things don’t talk about it because they realize almost every other racer is doing something crazy but not talking about it. Goggins for some reason always makes himself the underdog but in reality most people struggled to get their life situation so they can do races like these. I’ve met people who have pushed their bodies to kidney failure, cured shermers neck in the middle of a race, broke bones and came back the next year to finish what they started. The joke is ‘when you gonna write a book about it’ because people come from outside the circle and do these races just to write books.

Horrible take. Goggins and Dauwalter have inspired countless people to push their boundaries and do things they previously thought impossible. You don’t have to run with broken metatarsals or break every existing ultramarathon record to absorb the wisdom those two have been putting out into the public consciousness.
