I can relate to this. I bought the Tech Sales Course in CC, and I always felt like something was missing, like I wasn't getting detailed and tactical information that gave me the confidence to intuitively improvise the right actions to take, that you can't really prepare for. I have ADHD, which means I have gone through many iterations of learning something, knowing it well enough to teach it or find it boring, and then dropping it. So, I know exactly what to look for in the learning curve that provides me the satisfaction that I know the foundation of a subject or skill set. CC is good for people who want to learn the concepts on an abstract level, but personally, I think it lacks tactical and detailed information that will give you the feeling that you know what to do and how to do it. I have finished 94% of the course, which means the only thing left for me to do is the final exam. However, from my experience, I still felt like I didn't know what to do, so much so, that I ended up buying another sales book (that they don't recommend) to supplement for what they lacked. The kind of advice and insight is very cookie-cutter and basic. It's something that you can probably intuitively figure out on your own. For example, my red flag radar sort of went off when I saw that "How To Win Friends and Influence People" was a required book to read. No offense, but as a person who seeks novelty, when I see something recommended that I have already digested before I tend to become disappointed. Why? If I see that whoever I am supposed to look at as a mentor or coach provides me information that is within the bounds of my consciousness already, I start to worry if they are someone I should be listening to. As a person with an attentional manner who cares a lot about logical coherency, and the more I learned about the basics of sales, the more I started to realize that the way CC structures its course is quite confusing for me. I just bought the Tech Sales Ascension course, and the reason I pulled the trigger is that I can tell that there is much more care and thought behind the information provided its structure, and why it's being provided. CC from my experience tends to gloss over things I find important for my professional development and these are some of the things I'm going to be looking for as I learn what is in the Tech Sales Ascension program. I think CC can work for some people. However, if you're the type of person who is really good at asking questions because you tend to account for more variables in the way that you process information, it may not be enough to spark the confidence you need to feel sure of your skills.

Excellent video!!! I understand completely and can totally relate to what Jacob is saying about taking Course Careers. You have many students that broke into tech via C.C. I can relate toward his feelings of other students breaking in fast without a sales or tech background. I had those expectations also. I took C.C. from Feb-April. And it has not been easy trying to get a job as an SDR. I have been on a few interviews even to the last interview but haven't closed the deal to break in. Strongly considering Tech Sales Ascension.

This was an eye opening interview. I just came across you channel today and I gotta say it's very insightful. As a person who signed up with Course Careers in late October of 2022, Jacob was spot on with his description about Course Careers. While I did learn a lot from the course, I failed to pass the exam my first go around. Which resulted in me becoming angry at myself for not passing. I put in almost 3 to 4 months into this course only to fail. And now I know why. Some of the source material in Course Careers just didn't stick or rather hard for me to retain the information. Also I paid too much attention to prior graduates from Course Careers who finished the course in two weeks and landing a position in tech sales within a week. In which case happens but is not the average for every student who finishes the course. After doing some more research, I come to the realization that Course Careers was not a good fit for me. Maybe for someone else but not me. I wish I would've discovered Tech Sales Ascensions a year ago versus Course Careers. So now I'm seriously considering Tech Sales Ascension.

I got out of CC months ago because in their discord there were people who had taken it and were having a hard time finding a job six months in. It seemed like CC at that time was perhaps not that great at the hands-on part of helping candidates land a job. They don't guarantee you a job but some people will clearly need more help compared to others and I felt like some were just being left behind. I think CC is a solid way for some people to get into Tech sales, it just was not for me.

I am kind of in the Same boat as him only difference is I am about finished with a course in course careers and wanted to switch to the tech sales course. I am having trouble getting hold of anyone it's been days and that to me is frustrating. The one thing that drew me to course careers is the cost. Not just the cost, but they offer the option of paying it in 4 payments, which I haven't seen anyone else offer.

There's lots of great information on my channel, I'd recommend going through it more, making sure tech sales is a fit, and then start applying. If you feel you want a more structured approach the course is a great starting point. For you in particular I'd target companies that sell technology to restaurants. You'd have a natural advantage knowing the types of people you sell to. Let me know if I can help with any questions along the way
