    The comfort is fantastic. Comparing to a tent, tradition hammock, and diagonal-sleeping hammock, the Amok is the most comfortable. Slightly more of a learning curve to them. Very well designed and crafted.

I do get to experience some of your birds though, either in late fall thru mid-spring, like the White-throated Sparrow, or birds just passing thru', like the Swainson's Thrush. My favorite avian song belongs to the Wood Thrush, for the same reasons as your affection for the Swainson's. I sure wish the Winter Wrens sang when they are here. I recently did my first hammock camping trip. Who would have thought it would have been such a comfortable and ultralight way to camp. I packed my fishing kayak with gear and headed out on crown land. Loved it. The hammock is much lighter to pack than a tent, and when the conditions are right, so much more beautiful of an experience to sleep in. Had my first Hammock camp last week and it was amazing, I had the best sleep ever outdoors, not sure I will ever go back to using a tent unless the area has no trees, thanks for the inspiration.

    Glad to see you guys are able to get some action. I just got back from my first real trip of the summer, so it's good to have something to watch that keeps me inspired while I'm longing for the next adventure! I suppose Erin is not gonna ever give up that lure, lol!

    Good video. I love my Original Bug Jacket, couldn't live without it, especially in the Spring. As for tackle, I've split the difference, replaced most of my trebles with single barbed hooks. Get fewer hookups but when I do they are way easier to release and rarely come off. Not as many snags either, or finger accidents.👍

    Right on, that's still a huge improvement over barbed trebles! We're loving the bug shirts this spring too. Thanks Jeff :)

    You're freeeee!!!! And you got some bug shirts. Those things haven't changed one iota in at least 25 years, but they're great when the bugs are really bad. I think they're more suited to use a ball cap underneath that your fancy dancy hat though. You may find that more comfortable. They're a little annoying unless the bugs are really bad. Indispensable when I used to go fly fishing with my dad. And you'll have to tell me what you think of the new canoe, once you've put a few miles on it, and had it in some various conditions. I was thinking about the 15' prospector, but there's a possibility I'll need to go bigger. Though it won't be for a while anyway. Nice to see you out again my friend!

    Hahaha a ball cap would definitely be better under there, but the brim is floppy enough that it makes it half decent. Loving those bug shirts so far. Same with the canoe...still early, but I'm extremely happy with it at this point. Obviously I wish it was 30lbs lighter, but that's the price I chose to pay for ruggedness and durability. Really doesn't feel that bad with the yoke pads. Thanks Jim!

    Same here man, it was tough to give up on it. Funny thing was knowing we could've flown the drone over to it...but that's not how I wanted to see it. It's on the Gravel River which is in my plans but it's a notorious trip so we'll have to see...

  • @dancampbell9405
    @dancampbell94053 жыл бұрын

    We put that trail in in 1975 the same year we did the gravel and used it regularly till 200? it's always been a little cranky for first 200 yards and if left alone you'll need at least a hour and a half to clear it down 45 minutes back up. If there's been a blowdown event on the slope goodness only knows. I think the 2 Robs will up there this summer so I'll be looking for the return trip and was really looking forward to seeing you make it. So I'm subscribed Thanks.
