In 1974 my husband and l with 4 year old twins finishes an already raised roof school bus that we lived in for 6 years. Still have pictures of it. My husband converted old fashioned ice box into a solar refrigerator, oil lamps to electric. We had a shower, but lived in a camp ground where they had showers and toilets. Ours looked just like a cabin inside. The kids had their own bedroom and play area in the back with the bathroom between them and the main living and kitchen area. We sleep on a pull out sofa. With a s small pot belly wood stove for hear. A hand pump for the sink water. A 1906 gas stove and oven. We had a wall between the driving area with a sliding wood door for privacy and warmth. A few years ago one of the twins ask if I still had any pictures of the bus. He said it was his favorite childhood home.

I suspect that living a smaller vehicle may require making use of swiveling driver seats as lounge space but in something this big, it's GREAT to close the door on the "mudroom" as this couple has done. OH!!! that's the other thing this couple's design has - NO SIDE DOOR !!!! That adds soo much useable space !

Steve & Jordan, in you'als youth you have been able to accomplish much as we all have in the journey of living. When you get older that energy & drive slow down. I had a great networking of great people in my years & then it all changes over time. You have more Good-Bye's in life than you ever had before in the journey. Not to ignore the Good-Bye's I experienced in my Youth were less to have had. For 4 years I have been intensely digesting & discovering every aspect of getting a Big Box Truck or School Bus. To have the Networking you have is remarkable & a Blessing. Let me say 1st off, I am not into any Pity Parties, in the journey change. I am just stating the realities one faces & deals with later in life. Yes I have seen more KZread Programs & Read more on Conversions than all the Text Books I read & learned from at University & all the TV Shows & Movies at Theaters seen. I know exactly the complete Lay-Out & Design. In the early 1980's I found a Classic RV Trailer that had been sit'n in a Camp Grounds for over 20 years that was a 1957 Trailer & in 6 months had Totally Restored. For the next 2 years I enjoyed it on short get-a-ways & then when I put in for a Transfer to the South I took it with me. Only to discover my new Assignment there was no good place to park it or store it so I was faced with selling it. I am living in the 7th home in my life I have restored. Renting to me is like throwing money out a window & you really get no return on security or peace of mind in life. Growing up or Daddy taught us how to restore furniture, paint & plum'n & electrical & those seeds were planted well & have I ever learned so much throughout the decades. When it comes to Solar that is something I want to cover the roof of my new Big Box or School Bus with. To be totally Off Grid capable in all 50 States & all 5 U.S. Territories. I know that life is change. What you did with your Bathroom & Shower is Exactly how I have planned to have. Your driving down the road & the Bathroom is right in back of ya, not way down the back of one's home to get to. As you said, "mudroom in front". You'al have done an Exceptional Accomplishment in your Home Build. If I was your age again I would also have the resources to pull from. Being this is not the case I see myself having to Farm Out each process. In my Professional Life I was very connected & networked in life. What changed for me was what happened to me in less than 1 minute. I know like you'al, there are Great People who are Nomads & the Networking is amazing Out & About. I have a 100% Mission to get On The Road, I Live It & Breathe It, Smell & Eat It 24/7. It is a Calling not a, "I think I will try this for awhile". When I leave this Planet were all visiting on, I will be On The Road & not in my home veg-o-tate'n life away. Were all Born, We Live & In One Minute Or Less We Leave Planet Earth. I always tell people like myself, "I Have Disabilities But I Have Many Abilities In Life". When I Am Driving My Pick-Up Truck on any Roadways I am at total Peace. I really enjoy Driving anywhere. I look forward to more of your KZread Programs. I have cut down on KZread Viewing as I once did as there is less I need to see & more want & need to make all my journey come about. I sincerely look forward to meeting & sharing with you both one day. Safe Travels, Always, Tommy :-)

Thanks for sharing your remarkable home. I think it's the best bus to home conversion I've seen on KZread. Your personalities show and the result is a truly beautiful home. I am a shut-in, so I love imagining still being able to get around by seeing the homes people have made. Since I can't do the wandering life, you have given me a sweet glimpse of yours. I especially love your kitchen and bathroom. Thanks from the ❤.

Love this build!! The interior is awesome and does not look like a bus... it has such a cozy cabin vibe with that beautiful stove/fireplace area! Super cool to have such privacy with less windows! Inside out... your home on wheels is absolutely delightful!🤗💗💗💗

I like this bus. The interior has a log cabin feel to it. Kinda awesome that they got their friends and family to help with their home build. Definitely a great RV.

Amazing build, lots of personal touches, LOVE the fireplace!! The first time I visited a skoolie was at a campground my uncle had. He owned the land and he and his brother in law camped in skoolies, there was also a smaller skookie that was made into a playroom for the kids, we had so much fun there! One of the bus was actually a Greyhound, it had lots of room for their 4 kids. The driver's seat was where they installed the toilet! LOL! They didn't move the buses their were just parked there. Good luck with your adventures!

Probably my favorite design so far! I like the bathroom up front that way you can get by with one heater or AC unit. The full size stove and fridge is a must have I'm looking at buses now I want to be finished by next ski season!

I absolutely love your bus. I look at a lot of bus conversion videos and yours is my favorite thus far. I love the rustic look, the large kitchen, the solid wood tabletops, I love the wood burning stove with the real stone walls and the large bathroom! It looks like a log cabin.

I love this, it looks more like a cabin because of how the bathroom/mud room is up at the front of the bus separating the bus and the home areas of your Skoolie…. If only I could drive this would be my dream

Any idiot can drive. Many, many idiots drive every day. Many even drive these. It's nothing to get a class that teaches driving and the bus comes in smaller sizes.

Definetly the nicest bus/home that I have ever seen. I could live in there with no problem. It contains all of the features of a tiny house but with the added benefit of being able to take it with you and travel anywhere or anytime that you want. If it was my bus/home, I would add a large TV in the living room area as well as a stackable washer and dryer.
