People don't understand how unreal that verse is. To write it is one thing but to perform it on that level is absolutely incredible. I think its like his third or fourth fastest verse too

As far as I recall, if you count the number of words per second it's slower than Godzilla, but if you count the number of syllables per second, it's more or less on par with Godzilla, so a contender for the no. 1 Em's fastest delivery, maybe a close second

@TheFifhtEye I think his record for syllables per minute he done set with Rap God he beat in the third verse of Godzilla. The amount of alliteration here is pretty unprecedented as well!

@@ScottCarr-gc7sd That might very well be the case. The funny thing is, in the end, people really sleep on Tech and think Em was sooo fucking fast in here, but they seldom know Tech can go way faster than that. And I am not throwing shade o Em in here, don't get me wrong, but Tech on Takin Online Orders is way faster (like 15 syllables per sec) so I think he did hold back a little in Speedom to let Em shine, too

12:38 It's true it was a friendly competition, but there is an underlying story to this. Speedom is a culmination of the Choppers series, which is a trilogy (correction: tetralogy, Midwest part 1 and part 2), with this piece being a final chord to it. Tech9 said he wanted to end this series with the best of the best and that's why he asked Em to perform. And Em not only agreed, he wrote his whole verse for free, out of respect for Tech9. Two songs leading to Speedom are Midwest Choppers followed by Worldwide Choppers, and both of them are masterpieces in their own right. I highly recommend reacting to them as well.

Richie Havens performed a song called "Freedom" at Woodstock and to get the clearance to release the song based on "Freedom" it cost a whole lot!!!! Not that you need more than Eminem, but there's usually a ton of other rappers on the World Wide Choppers songs but bc the beat took so much of the budget, Tech didn't get anyone else and recorded the intro but also had the verse at the end. Eminem does a lot of features for free but more like in trade. For doing this verse, Eminem asked Tech to be a feature on the song "Beast" for the Southpaw soundtrack. Amazing song if you've never heard it with Busta Rhymes and Twista on a remix of Rob Bailey's "Beast". You can find Tech N9ne reacting to hearing Em's verse the first time. He also sent back way more bars than asked for and it was a masterpiece out of respect for Tech N9ne.

If you haven't already deff suggest listening to the other ones. I was shocked not seeing Em on the track with Busta, Twista & Tech.

He was gonna be on that album, but on a different song that ended up having Blind Fury on it instead, the song called “So Lonely” Tech said Eminem didn’t really like the beat he didn’t see himself on it, or perhaps just too busy with other projects that were going on at the time. Tech also was on a tight recording schedule for that release, so the return around for the song had me quick.

Techs "H" scheme was about a guy named Hurracane I produced for. Went on tour with Tech in Canada, was promised a spot on World Wide Choppers 2 but when Em signed on they said nobody else could get on it, Cane got shitty with Tech so they left him up in Canada.

Eminem was a gamble refers to them not knowing if Em would agree to do the verse. Eminem & tech N9ne were both on a KRS One song called The Anthem years back. Cigarette lighter, big enough fire, also a reference to BIC lighters. (Top selling lighter brand) . Think BIC Fire Twista & Busta are both on Tech’s song; Worldwide Choppers

The Anthem was not a KRS-ONE track, it was off of the 1999 Sway & King Tech Album This Or That

This song was the first fast song I’ve ever listened to where I sincerely think Em won… there’s a reason why he always goes last…. But more surprising… Krizz is amazing. The rapid staccato that Krizz and Em did for a long verse each where they’re rapping insane fast but also going up and down with every other note.. just not fucking up that up and down rhythm without the lyrics at that speed is hard
