He's one of the best left back in the history of football. I watched almost he's entire career and he was an absolute beast.

As a fan of real Madrid i can tell he was the best left defender they had. Around 5'4-5'5 his shots were bombs. I Think he also shot the most goals of all defenders.

Yea as a real madrid fan and robero carlos fan myself I agree with you. I grew up watching carlos play he’s my favourite player of all time. Speed, power, football IQ is crazy.

Thanks to Roberto Carlos I started to like Football when I was kid in the 90's and became also a Real Madrid fan because of him

3:34 the best part of this goal isnt even the kick, but in most narrations, they start making fun because the dude really went to the middle of the field to get distance for the kick. so you hear them laughing and making fun of him and then he kicks and gets everyone by surprise with it.

His shots were fast even in slow motion. El Hombre Bala is his nickname. It’s Spanish for The Bullet Man. The footballs used at that time were both denser and heavier than a modern ones, and some of his shots were clocked in at 104 mph. Now imagine how fast the ball would go if if he was kicking a modern one.

It's amazing how Brazil's 2002 national team had so many great players. Essentially from midfield onwards everyone we had was exceptional. Neymar is the only player nowadays that could fight for a position in that team, even so hardly tbh.
