    As @DonBeaird said, he told hers was probably the best cover and when asked where she could improve, he replied “ am I even qualified to say something like this about her?” 😂 He added “I know who to call if I don’t want to play this call anymore”. Now she resurfaced, we are awaiting new uploads from her new band Spin Twice.

    Tina is an absolutely amazing guitarist. I never got why she stopped posting, but you guys hit it on the head - she was 16 and the exposure blew her mind. Makes total sense now. So glad she is back online now with a band and wish her total success as she'll always be star of the show. Herman Li actually invited her to perform onstage when Dragonforce were in Paris (she's French) but for whatever reason it didn't happen. I'd love to see the 2 of them playing together.

    Nice comment, but she is like to play her guitar as much today as yesterday. Yes she disappeared for a while, and nothing to do with some mean comments or news about her death. As a conventional East block country where her parents are from, they have a hard urge to educate their children and become successful in their profession. She finished her studies and graduated as an engineer in entertainment instrument designing and advanced electric. Now she is back in a band but I have the feeling that every guys in that band just want to sound or look better than her. Only three song they released as a band, and have the feel that was it for her as a band member. As it said, the future is unwritten, and wouldn’t be surprised if we would see more and even more advanced Tina in the near future. I missed her as much as other dozens of millions of people, and no matter if they put other made up hyper guitarist on the pedestal, her mark stays carved in our hearts and brain forever.

    The solo of the song lasts 2 min 4 s. This song features in the video game Guitar Hero III : Legends of Rock : it is considered one of the longest and most difficult songs to play due to the large number of notes (3,722 notes) and its high speed .

    Speaking of Guitar Hero, I believe when Herman watched this he was pretty sure the backing here is ripped from the GH copy. The recordings he gave them for that didn't have the guitars separated so you can't pull out just one from it. That's why they had to arrange around certain parts of it, cause it was only her to deal with both parts.

  • @cypher515
    @cypher5157 ай бұрын

    Something that occurred to me after watching this for another time after reading the comments -- Cole Rolland is a Canadian guitarist who first made a splash playing a guitar cover of this... but he double tracked it with a harmonizer like the original song, possibly triple tracked it with the rhythm parts. Now there's obviously a rhythm guitar part underneath this and maybe it's the original, maybe it's her doing a second run underneath, but the lead part on the original recording IS two guitarists and she DID do it all herself and it's practically seamless. There are debates on whether we're hearing the take she's actively playing on or another one but the fact that the only flaw I could see _at all_ (she hit part of the solo about, but not QUITE, a half beat before it was supposed to happen) matched her fingers... wow. Lemme just say, I'm glad she came back, I hope she stays, and while I sometimes dream of seeing a bunch of my KZread favorites on stage together (and the band Halocene actually does go out on tour with some of their collaborators whenever possible), I can't even imagine Cole Rolland or Sophie Lloyd or Leo from Frog Leap Studios doing anything with this woman on stage but getting out of her way. (Or putting down the guitar and singing in Cole and Leo's cases.) Absolutely brilliant.

    Now, in my opinion, I think she played the song pretty well. She is a guitar Master when she plays I could talk as anybody that can play the song which is pretty fast chew gum at the same time in spots you can see her not even look at the guitar why she’s shredding the hell out of it is amazing. Herman Lee even reacted to it and said oh shit I didn’t realize how good she played that solo and another part he says I know who to call if I don’t wanna play that song anymore this lady at the age and she played a lot of these covers you don’t expect to have people be able to play that well and be that good and have your fingers move that good around the guitar You can go watch a lot of other people react to her videos and you’ll see some of the same looks at you too gave and some of the same reactions but again this lady is a guitar shredder. I think she’s the best young female guitarist out there now that’s my opinion I know there will be other people out there that will have their own female guitarist. If they think it’s the best that’s the one good thing about it my opinion doesn’t have to be their opinion in my opinion, don’t have to be their opinion well anyway in my opinion, this is the best female guitar player out there.

    Please don't start out by repeating rumors about why Tina left the internet. Have some respect and patience for the person to tell us when she's ready, or not. We don't need to know. We don't deserve to know. It's up to her. There has been so much speculation over the years and every time someone repeats it someone else then makes a video saying "I heard X, so I guess that's right". Anyways, I couldn't watch past the first minute without saying that because you couldn't react to her without doing that. But I'll continue now that's off my chest. There's nothing wrong with not knowing.

    Shes a beast. It breaks my heart that she stopped doing videos. Mainly bc why spend all this time getting that good ...all that money on classes , just to stop? Good on her for getting a degree and following her career just seems like such a waste of God tier talent lol. Great reaction as always

    This piece is so difficult that she made several takes with video editing. This is Tina's only multi-take video. You have to look at her hair in front and then behind the guitar on the close-ups.

    Very impressive, but her playing is by rote. No emotion or feeling in her playing. Its as tho she's playing scales extremely fast. Just saying.

    Tina S did not go away because of trolls. Sick of hearing this. I wonder who the clown is that started it. She didn’t give two sh*ts about the trolls! This is her interview with MTVNews! This Teen Guitar Goddess Nails How We Should Treat Sexist Trolls Fifteen-year-old Tina S. is too busy shredding to care for trifling tomfoolery. Tina S By Rae Paoletta March 12, 2015 / 6:02 PM Tina S. is a 15-year-old French guitarist who's been playing since she was six. She's caught the attention of guitar craftsman Patrice Vigier, bassist Wolfgang Van Halen and literally millions of people around the world on her KZread channel. Her cover of Van Halen’s "Eruption" has garnered over 11 million views to date: And yet, she still has to put up with stupid sh-t on the Internet. "This problem [of sexism] is visible sometimes through the comments I have posted on KZread," Tina told MTV News, "where some people have highlighted that I am a girl and [question] my real skills and the strength in my hands. ... But I do not really care." She's young, talented and DGAF what sexist commenters have to say about her ability! Tina credits her love of guitar to female guitarists Ana Vidovic and Orianthi, her older brother and her teacher, French guitarist/composer Renaud Louis-Servais. ("He was the one who genuinely gave me the tools to significantly improve my technique as well as my musical knowledge thanks to his sense of teaching, his motivation and his experience," she says.) To those [ladies] about to rock, Tina S. salutes you: "These old prejudices will eventually disappear if we keep persevering and never surrendering," she says. "To be a woman is by no means a weakness nor a shame but a strength." Tina S., ladies and gentlemen: guitar hero, girl hero, life hero.
