Well, as a Mexican that lived most of my life in Mexico, I had been robbed 5 times even at gunpoint... we have experiences like this in a regular basis. We Mexican people know even poor people doesn’t go out that often because you can be kidnapped, let alone being gringo in Mexico you become a target for delinquency, they’re everywhere looking for “tourists” as a Mexican u get to know how they look like. Even when I went to the market, where poor people usually go, you see these guys, taking shirts off and they get another color shirt on bottom, you know they just robbed or did something... if u want to get married in Mexico keep a low profile, you’ll be safer. Or just don’t go right?

@@grace3811 just got back from Guanajuato driving and let me tell you Mexico has never been as safe as right now. They have the national guard on the border crossing highways tourists hotspots and everywhere. And remember cartels don't hurt tourists unless they mixed on dirty business

The whole story all seems a little fishy. Edit: Im not saying it didn’t happen, Im just saying that every thing is not adding up. There’s no way 2 people can fight off and escape 5 armed kidnappers. Noticed they never describe HOW they escaped, they just said it was by “some miracle”. How convenient. Plus, besides their messed up hair, stained shirt and the toilet paper in her nose, they have absolutely no facial injuries; seems weird considering that they were beaten, pistol whipped, and punched in the face. And why is that toilet paper in her nose at the “blood” on her shirt is brown, indicating her nose stopped bleeding hours ago

Yes, this can happen anywhere. My mom went on one of those package group deals to visit Europe. While on a train, while everyone was asleep, a group of men started going around and taking items from the passengers. My mom was elderly and afraid. She pretended to be asleep so that they wouldn’t hurt her. So yes, these situations can happen anywhere. Edit: My mom told me they were the train employees and she didn’t report them because she was afraid.

I'm glad the couple survived! It must've been a harrowing experience and I can't imagine the trauma they went through and the after effects of it all.

I crossed the border into Reynosa Mexico once back in 2015. It was like a mad max type of world. Didn’t stay long. You could feel the evil and danger. Felt incredible to get back into Texas.

Gee orb i doubt these people were trying to cause little damage as possible. Any hit to the head is dangerous and repeat blows can be fatal especially in same spots. But yeah. How is it that 2 oblivious couple were able to escape basically unharmed compared to others injuries people recieve, when a bus of 25+ goes missing with no trace left behind n no survivors? Im sure they could of all ran in different directions n escaped but these two were in the heart of the dragon made it with only beatings? Also they gave up trying to assault her? Im not Pro-rape but kidnappers with morals???? Im sure they would of assaulted, ransomed, killed n continued with their next victims.

Sounds a little to good to be true that they “Ran” away from the alleged kidnappers. Sounds a little fishy to me.

Exactly. Why would they bind you with 'your' shoelaces? They would have ALL the supplies needed for a 'successful' kidnapping...hmmm. It looks like HE beat HER up. He had no injuries.

I had a couple of coworkers that did destination weddings. They all had good experiences. So sad to hear what these people had to go through. That woman was so courageous to try to go for the gun and mange to create an opportunity for them to escape.

don worry Let’s think about it like this. 4 men with guns. Trying to sexually assault one woman, that seems to be on a smaller size can be easily over powered by men with guns. They tried to sexually assault her 3 times. The soon to be hubby only go hit once? Her injury is a big one compared to her. She might be playing it off as I’m a badass and won but we don’t really know if she actually did get assaulted and is covering up either. I personally think this is a publicity stunt to monetize the situation.

From the beautiful white sand blue water beaches to the old ruins with grassy plains to beautiful mountains and canyons etc. etc. there's beauty to be found. eww I would not get married in Vegas, Mexico, or court, we rented a small venue. Mexico would never be the place to get married idc how cheap they claim it is, my friend just went to get married there last week, and hasn’t been back nor heard of him. My roommate was murdered in Mexico in 2012, he used to always say these kind of things wouldn't happen to him.. I'm Mexican, I'm brown and still have no intentions to put myself in a country that's currupt!
