I was homeless for a little over two years and lived the life of Benben. I know how he felt being unwanted so now I have four rescue cats that I give love to unconditionally for all thier lives. . Have been owned by cats over twenty years. Edit. One of the cats that owned me was a red collar who's name was Vinny and would bite all the time. He was returned to the shelter seven times and the eighth was to be his last. Until I adopted him. I showed him love no mater how many times he bit me. He owned me foe sixteen years and became a extraordinary cat after a few months. Refused to give up on him.all together I have been owned by fifteen cats.

I wanted to adopt a cat from a shelter. At this particular shelter, the owner wanted to keep all the healthiest, most beautiful cats for herself as ‘model’ shelter cats. Kind of selfish and strange, I think. The only choice I was given was to adopt 2 of the dirtiest, sick cats living together there in their small cage. At first, I didn’t want to even touch them. Their eyes were so infected, they could hardly see. At this moment, my heart grew 10 sizes bigger. I decided, these cats needed my love and affection. So I decided to adopt them. I fed them and gave them medicine each day. In the end, they became my very best cats ever. I made the right choice.

Me too and we've been doing this for many years. I'm sore that people whom are NOT animal Lovers prefer to call us " hoarders" but we refuse to just abandon the precious angels GOD has lovingly created. Our home is full of critter love..lol 5 cats incls two crazy kittens..Ten dogs..all sizes/breeds..and we constantly fear more city citations for keeping too MANY..I guess they'd rather there b more strays running loose/ homeless.

I could easily end up a crazy cat lady, only problem is going away,I have no one to sit my 2 ragdolls. Otherwise I'd have 10 adopted fur babies.

I'm glad that BenBen found a forever home. He was a beautiful cat. Don't know why sum people are like that. We have 6 beautiful kids of our own. We love r Fur Babies very much. I remember my sister adopting a paralysed stray kitten. He was black coloured. My sister used to massage his feet. In few months, he started walking.

Years ago I found an injuered cat . His back legs. We picked him up. Took him to the vet . He had little faith "Tommy " would be able to use hus back legs. He suggested we get a vibrater ( say what lol) set it on low, move over his legs a few min. each day. After a while, we saw marked improvment. He was even able to jump up onto the sofá. Tommy lived till the age if 12.

A friend of mine's mom found a neighbor's cat abandoned, they'd moved to another state a few months before and just abandoned him... He'd struggled to survive on the street. I adopted him. He had the same permanently flopped over ear, I took him in for dental cleaning,head cancer in his lower jaw, he lost most of his lower left teeth and 3 of his 4 canine fangs... But lived like 5 years after that very happily - the cancer went almost nowhere until the last 2 months. I like to think I at least gave him a touch of happiness and devotion for his elderly years.

Tears of joy for sure. Goodness. Thank you so much to this couple and many blessings. Goes to show what love can do.

@@JamieK777 Please don't wriggle Jamie. I know you religious types are trained to cook up standard answers for anybody that challenges the fairy stories. That is what you just did even using quote marks to indicate not your original thoughts. I don't think atheists have a club support system as you do, we remain independent and devise our own personal philosophies and arguements to support ourselves. I am friendly with our village priest, we have tea together occasionally and have talked through all that stuff. He appreciates that I respect him as The Man rather than suck up to his job title as everybody else does. He feels free to discuss things with me that he cannot with anybody else. He is a senior career priest with more than local responsibilities but I can tell his heart is not really in the religious stuff and he goes through the motions while complaining to me that the pay is poor and he is stuck with his employer and guiding his flock (of sheep) as he has a provided house and a family. I'm sorry for him, he is trapped in his career of deception. We both like cats though. I'm pretty sure he is not alone in his situation but we would have to get under their skins or corporate role facades to find that out. I wish you well Sir Jamie. Please try to find time to really think deeply about your devotion and whether it is well placed, whether you might like to think freely to form your own personal belief system for yourself or stick to the rote you have been taught. I wish you happiness, good conscience, and freedom.

My upstairs neighbour was a drug dealer of serious drugs. He had a huge ginger tomcat that had not been fixed, who came downstairs to my apartment to get food and safety, (didn't understand love) and hung out with me for days on end. The drug dealer died of an overdose and his tearful parents came around the apartment and cleared it for the next tenant. They had no idea he had this crazy huge ginger tomcat. He became my art and he was a very nuvhgty, violent boy, but he loved me and always slept on my pillow next to my head teasing out with his claws my long hair to make a little bed on.

Unfortunately it is true, we can help first if we in some way advertise people not let reproduce their own cats, published by flyers, WhatsApp or internet whatever is posible to prevent this exceed born of kittens to stop this tragedy of abandoned cats, and at the other hand try to feed this cats and ask for help to other compasive people I believe it is necesary to give them love and care the ones who live on the street
