I’m 81 and watched these stars in there glory days. Most of them have gone to be with their creator and it won’t be long before I join them. I never got to see them at the Ryman but I did see them at the Grand Ole Opera. I even got to stand in that special circle on the stage. I stood there an fantasized the house was full of people waiting to hear me perform. I’m not a country singer but I have sung in front of a audience as tears of sadness flow from my eyes. Oh to have gone back in time to the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s & 70’s to hear the real country music I remember. God loves y’all.

OLD TIME RADIO (0TRR) on the internet has all the radio shows from the Grand Ole Opry from the 40's up thru all the 60's. If you can look them up and enjoy them. I do. I remember MOST of these people and I marvel that they are still so good.

@@terryhurlburt9113 Thank you for the idea. As I read your post my mind flashed back 60 years when country was heard on radio and had stations that carried it. The Grand Ole Opera popped into my head, then came Wheeling West Virginia and the Louisiana Hayride and Fort Wayne, Indiana. I used to switch back and forth listening to real country, No Country Rock and definitely NO DRUMS!!!! Oh to remember the thumping sound of a Stand Up Bass, those were the Good Ole Days. Seems to me I remember a station down in Texas I could pick up on a clear night, I’m in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Thanks for the memories.

I love Charlie Pride. I wish Glen Campbell was there too. They were good friends I heard. In the 1970's with Charlie at the top (he stayed on top all his life, until the last few years in his 80's...but anyway, I'd get every album and listen to them at home for an hour or two...he died in 2021 or so...then Bobby Bare, Glen in 2017; I miss seeing them on TV and hearing them sing those great songs. Here now is the ones I recognize, as Barbara Fairchild, so beautiful and looks like she doesn't age.

I have gotten to know some of them over the years. There's one I haven't seen on these reunion shows is jo-el sonnier. May you rest in peace my friend. It's been a pleasure to meet you and your lovely wife Bobbie, you will be missed.. There a few more I can mention that haven't been on there yet.

Love Charlie Pride the first song I ever played on a jukebox was "Does My Ring Hurt Your Finger When You Go Out Night." It was in a little Cafe in Webb City MO. I had went up the with my cousin and sister to go see a friend of my cousins. I love hearing this old country music. Dan 🇺🇸

Gregory is not funny at all. Anyone who makes cancer jokes in front of someone who is battling cancer is not funny and is not an honorable person. He made cancer jokes in front of Jim Ed Brown on one of these shows.

I never thought he was funny, but others obviously did. He made a living doing mostly clean comedy for over 30 years.
