Thanks for always bringing the stoke, all the time, everywhere. Being quiet and contained seems to be an affliction amongst a lot of boaters these days. Refreshing to see your raw passion unfettered. I have a lot of stoke when I paddle and it has bothered people before. So from one stoked person to another, thank you and keep the good vibes going!!!

I think I read someone took out a massive and dangerous log jam in the last year or so. From the looks of it, there are some new logs scattered mostly around the banks. I guess when she picks up this Fall and Winter folks will have to be on the lookout. Reported in AWA's drowning reports, the reasons for removing the log jam sounded solid on balance, as it was pretty easy to avoid but there are lots of less experienced boaters running it all the time. Anyway, that's a level people would run it at in the first couple of years and it's always beautiful on a sunny Summer's day.

I was going to buy a mountain bike, but dang it this boat looks exactly like what I want.

A bit out of context, but have you ever thought about trying the Dudh Kosi river on everest some day?

So Dane, when are you making it "official"? NIRvana being permanently replaced by GNARvana? The old boat's going in the garage to gather dust, right?

Outside of White Salmon, Washington

The specs on this boat are confusing to me. It says "optimal paddler capacity" 175lbs. Capacity is defined as the maximum amount that something can contain. What about someone who weighs 190? Jackson has typically given a weight range for their boats rather than a single weight. Does anyone have feedback?

Apparently this is a kayaking channel. I didn’t understand a word he said the first minute in. L Dub ? NARvanna ? Down east flows ? Two weeks of ocean kayaking in Alaska taught me nothing about being “stoked”. They clearly don’t want general viewership here.

Hey! L Dub is a nickname for the Little White, which is the river he is paddling. The Gnarvana is the model of kayak he is paddling, whose predecessor was called the Nirvana. As far as being stoked, that's just general slang used in the whitewater community, which shares a lot of terminology with the surfing and skateboarding communities. Hope this helps!
