I think the problem is that a good player can play close to perfect you can never detect 1or2 moves of help in a classical game. But i a 3min game can you really cheat that easy? I mean deside on how and when to do it to not make it obvius? Thats got to be hard? Why not try it and see how hard it is? Is it that much help and can you just take a few moves help then play the rest on you own and not get the whole line?

By now I'm certain he's not acting in good faith. I pointed out mistakes in his analysis 3 times: on the statistics, on a video that was supposed to show his clock drop but was edited, and on the fact that even real chess clocks sometimes appear to move from one second to the next quicker because they don't display fractions of seconds. The result? He accused me of manipulating people and blocked me

I rooted for Kramnik in the 2006 championship and respected him over Topolov due to the way that all went down. But his recent statements are too much. He doesn't seem to understand that the chess world has moved on and he's no longer as strong relative to other players. There are many more strong chess players in the world now than in 2006, especially online. And as for people playing weaker OTB than online, actually, for many younger players who grew up playing online, they are more accustomed to the online environment, and feel calmer, and more confident and at their best versus when facing an opponent OTB in a playing hall. Duh. Not everything is explained by cheating.

I said on one of Hikaru's videos a couple of months ago that what Kramnik was doing wasn't something that a smart man would do. It was simply irrational. So I postulated that he had larger reasons that had something to do with the war in Ukraine and the propaganda goal of putting non-Russian chess into disrepute in Russia, where chess is held in such high regard.

The participants of chess tournaments could complain that another participant has trash talked them and that the trash talker should be removed from the tournament. So, the first fine would be for 100 USD or 100 of some other currency if the USD becomes worthless, but it would be coupled with a public apology within the same forum where the offensive communication was released. And an apology means a promise that such and such shall never happen again. And so, if a new incident of trash talking should arise regarding an incident after the date of the given apology, then the player would be directed to give another public apology, but must pay a new fine for 10 times the amount of the previous fine. And this cycle would continue until the player decides that they no longer wish to pay the fine, which shall result in their permanent suspension from all Chess tournaments. And this is my suggestion for how trash talking is to be eliminated from Chess. There needs to be an independent Chess Offences authority respected by all Chess tournaments, and since the authority would exist to uphold the business interests of so many people, this should be no problem whatsoever. People who do trash talking meddle with the minds of others and create unnecessary dramas at the risk and expense of Chess itself. Chess is what we want. Drama is what we do not want. Here’s how the trash can be weeded out to encourage, promote and reward high standards and high quality to improve the reputation of Chess, and maintain it.

Shows how little being a GM means at the end of the day. I have no qualms with Kramnik personally and even enjoy his theatrics. If he is outrageously incorrect everytime then maybe he needs some mental health. Logic would dictate that he knows chess. Also I don't think his position on FIDE matters so long as he's not involved in matters concerning him. It's a popular topic I guess. The Russian chess players don't mind the Putin comments? Or that's not really an issue in chess?
