An 800 year old Scottish song that's had the lyrics changed several times and reintroduced with a modified slip-jig back in the 1970s. Love it.

through the decades with all the different lineup changes, amazing musicianship has been a constant.

I remember seeing a bunch of country-folk dancing “Cotton-Eye Joe” at Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth, Texas. Pretty awesome to see. Since then, I have liked this song, but only performed by these guys.

There's a big difference between people who play music and musicians. The current crop of pop-tarts play music. Asleep at the Wheel are MUSICIANS!

Spoke with Jason before.. He got my CD autographed. EASY on the eyes and ADORABLE!!! So sweet!

I won tickets off AM radio to see these guys live at the Mule Lip Saloon in Colton, CA back in the 80s! Talk about kicking-A! The dance floor was a former JCPenny's or something. 3-D line dancing, surround sound, barber chair tip over shots, lines waiting for men's and women's bathrooms. It had it all!

Jason, the best fiddle player ! I do like his way to perform country songs !

YEEEEHAAAAAW!!! Hell, yeah, that's what I'm talkin' about! That's one of my favorite bluegrass/traditional country songs. I'm a Sand Mountain Alabama native and was raised up listening to songs like that (in addition to The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, and The Who, of course). Every time I hear bluegrass, I get chills and goosebumps because it's the music of my people, most of whom came from Scotland, Ireland, and northern England. Celtic music evolved into bluegrass over here, so to say there's a similarity is being redundant. Bluegrass IS Celtic music, and I'm proud to be a Celt.
