I have this same cotton candy machine and here’s a trick to make it fluffier: put the stick thingy over the machine horizontally and spin it. Make sure you go fast or else it will melt. I mean, you would go to a carnival and see them spin it vertically, but it doesn’t work at home that well.

I actually got one for my birthday a few years back, it took a little getting used to but you definitely need to use both hands and spin the cone while moving it around the machine hope this helps

I also have a cotton candy machine but the tip is to keep it on for like 5 minutes to warm it up after that add sugar or candy and use the twirled part of the stick and move it fast in the same direction so it will not melt and have a better and cloudy texture.

She just took “sneaking medicine into a child’s food” into a whole new level

When you swirl it you need to try holding it on top of the container and twist it while holding it horizontally

Hi! Cotton candy spinner here. I have 2 tips. You can either put the stick in down low as possible to get a strong base and so it won’t flop over (like mine usually do), or you can let if gather up and then put it in, pull it back out, and let it attract! May just work for my job’s machine though, since it’s pretty big. 😂

I have the same one, and u have to start spinning the cone as soon as it starts to form, not when it’s all gathered there. Hold the cone horizontally over the center and rotate it, and as it forms it will build up in a fluffy light shape in the cone. Hope this helps!

If you put a cough drop in there is it still like medicine/good for me?

I had this when I was a kid and my family used jolly ranchers all the time. My fav was a combo of watermelon and cherry jolly ranchers

Cotton candy cough drops might actually be better because it all melts and distributes evenly around your mouth and throat

Moms with cotton candy machines: let’s use cough drops! Me with cotton candy machines: let’s use black cherry warheads!

Haha I have the exact same one, I forgot it originally came with the plastic cones though. I’d recommend trying jolly ranchers, also personally, I use chopsticks to spin the candy because the cone was too big and it was deflating the cotton candy. I’ve also made it with regular sugar + a couple drops of some fruit extract!!

Because of the learning curve and probably the amount of candy that actually stuck to the wrap. She also said it was a cough drop (I think) so that may also be why
