This is a great set and definitely worth the purchase if you’re after one of the following…. 1. Terrific travel set to bring on a flight without having to worry as much about your main set. 2. Great guest set for visitors that come 3. New or beginner golfers 4. Only play a few times a year 5. Get confused but the several settings with the top-tier stuff. If you’re looking to flip them, then the advice in this vid holds true but if you’re after one of the above situations, you cannot go wrong.

I’ve used the edge set for around three years now and have replaced the driver, 3-wood, added a 60 degree, and bought a new putter, but I truly love the irons. They are super easy to hit and provide consistent enough distance control.

How have the held up so far? Have you gotten new clubs? I’m looking for my first set to last me 3 to 5 years so I can then get a fully upgraded custom fit golf set

I think sets like this are great for those starting out in golf. There are of course better used clubs, but as a beginner it is so very difficult to know what is good or bad.

Love mine! Have been golfing for 25yrs...18 handicap...hit a good solid shot. . Excellent value replacement set.

So basically this set was designed for beginners, where are you going to find a full set for 800$?? no where, especially callaway. Brand new. Definitely worth if your new or beginning!

Absolute bargain for a beginner

Started golfing April 2021. I’m a 12 handicap with my Callaway Edge set in Stiff Flex. Replaced Driver with Ping G400. Added a 50 degree and 60 degree wedge. Honestly can’t find anything better for the money or performance. Complete brand new full set that can perform as good or better can’t be bought even second hand for $550 after taxes like the Edge set.

Thanks for watching guys, all said and done… still think the Kirkland wedges are good value.

Hi Simon, I have followed your tips and advise on clubs and learnt a lot along the way. I have a full set now for a beginner ping g10 driver, 3 hybrids and a set of callaway 360 hot irons all for £260. Simon, I agree, it’s highly unlikely we’ll see an influx of golfers like we did in the past two yrs. what impact will inflation have on golf and the club market.

Had the edge set and they were great, moved on but for the price they were hard to beat.

@@Livinoutdoors_ Titleist t-300 irons gap to 5iron, Callaway rogue st max D driver, same 3 wood just the max not d. Ping g425 4 hybrid, Taylor made millgrind 52 and 60 degree wedges. Spider putter. I honestly think that's the most forgiving bag you could build, I play off 8.8 currently.

The callaway edge set at Costco is literally a re release of the X2 hot irons, and other old callaway designed clubs.

Ok so I’m just getting into golf, do you think this is a good first set?

My goodness, this video is absolutely terrible advice. You ranted for 10+ plus minutes that these clubs aren’t worth the price solely based off of supply and demand. These are obviously targeted towards beginners and 99% of new golfers won’t be finding a NEW set with driver, irons, putter, etc. that is also backed by both the Costco and Callaway quality/warranty/customer service (both are highly regarded). Your basis for choosing clubs solely on whether you can turn a profit is horrible advice. That’s like saying avoid all clubs that can be found in stock at your local golf shop because you won’t be able to make a profit off them. Literally 90% of all clubs/sets out there will never sell higher on the second-hand market, especially if they have been used. Was hoping this video would actually be about the clubs themselves and how they perform. This video is nothing more than a PSA for scalpers.

Hi simon. Bought a 0211 driver for £205. Used it for 4 rounds. Rrp now £235 with a long lead time. Sold for £205 on ebay at £1 max sellers fee. Basically cost me nothing to try. Bought 0211 irons and love them. Staying in the bag. Savvy buying, refurbing and selling made me £600 through lockdown. Payed for my new irons. Your advice helped 👍

The putter is incredible in that set. The irons are x2 hot irons rebranded.. Very good irons.. The woods don't look that good. Head covers look good. It's a fucking bargain all that.

Hi Simon There may be plenty of stock now at Costco, but not everyone can shop there? I know what you’ve trying to say but wanted to make the point that budget package sets are not so readily available to everyone, or as you say, the best option.

Also I LOVE the Kirkland Wedges

Managed to get the edge set 6months ago when they were scarce as my first set of clubs. Wishin a week the shaft broke on the driver luckily managed to get a full refund. Instead bought a second hand set of warbirds for £330 plus a nice bag

What did u do to break it? I’m a fairly new golf player and I’ve abused the club quite a bit but I’ve had no problem with the clubs bending or breaking

Would be great to see a video on the vice balls. The gps watch ⌚ was one of the versions I looked at but I have always used garmin in all my other GPS watch so when I found a garmin s40 for 200£ on sale when they released the s42 i bought that instead 🤣 probably no difference but I just trust garmin. Is it worth getting a laser aswell?

See I don't care one iota about the resale value of my clubs. I do the research, understand what equipment I need for my game, try it out at local shops with a simulator in store, then buy what works. If I can't sell it in six months for break even value or profit I don't give a single crap. The point of me buying a club is to get YEARS out of it, not a single season or less. That's where the purchase pays for itself. Selling and flipping on eBay? That's the most ridiculous of first priorities to have in golf.

I saw a guy on another channel try them, he loved them and compared this driver with his actual.vallaway driver. His driver was a callaway as well that was custom fitted for him, the shots were almost identical, he gained an extra 9 yards from his all singing all dancing much more expensive driver

You say you could get a better set for £500 quid. What do you recommend? I may treat myself around x mas. Was contemplating a second hand irons from a charity shop for £25 quid

FYI you can always return it to Costco even years later so it’s not that “high risk” to buy up a bunch.

Folks say this is a great starter set.. but I don’t understand that thinking??? For 80% of golfers out there, what is a more expensive set going to give you??? I e been playing with this set for a few years, I’m a 18 HC and would still be an 18 with the most expensive set of clubs on the market…

Still even now seeing ebay Edge sets as I type this for £500+ with 15 bids on.

I use the vice drive 2 piece ball's 20.00 a dozen at target. Plenty good enough for a high handicapper like me.

Already out of stock anyway, and people selling them on eBay between £550 and £700.

Callaway Edge, are away too expensive on Ebay, i am in Northern Ireland (NI) we cannot get delivery form COSTCO here in NI. I tired to buy my son a ladies graphite set (age 12-13) the mark up prices on Ebay are a joke! £480 in costco £600-£650 on ebay! Hell Cobra set £470 bye bye Callaway.. £650

Love to see your thoughts on the vice balls and test against the Kirkland ball. Just picked up 2 boxes the other day of the Kirkland but didn’t see vice at my Costco

I played vice golf balls and they are decent but the price went up 60p a ball over night, so now on grade A lake balls , for a season , covers are mint and only pen marks. when you loose a ball, look for the time allowed and move on the cost is now no longer a thought.

Kirkland balls are same as Pro V 1 balls just says kirkland from what I've heard but not sure if exact ball but same manufacturer.

Kirkland balls are decent value but so short of the tee. Spins like mad think the mizuno and Kirkland were both the spinniest balls in this year's ball test with mygolfspy.

See more putters are excellent never reviewed and with their simple red dot system guarantees square club face every time

Another review from a clueless individual that thinks beginners should go out and spend all kinds of time doing nothing more than ultimately getting confused by trying to "build" a set of clubs from here there and everywhere. Or worse, spending $150 on a so-called fitting for someone who hasn't swung a club the same way twice in their entire new golf career and from a fitter that wants to try to convince them that a $450 shaft is better because it's "one louder" than the $75 shaft. And all that from about 10 swings in an indoor bay.. Callaway IS NOT going to put out a set of clubs that are pure garbage. Did you noticed there's no discussion of the performance? They are a matched set of clubs in a set configuration suitable for the beginner and casual player. I've been paired up with folks that had these clubs and there's nothing wrong with these clubs. In fact there's nothing in a set of clubs costing 3x or 4x as much that's going to fix the problems the casual or beginner player exhibits on the course.

There is another well seasoned golfer on youtube he played them and he said him self there is not a 1200 difference in these 500 quid clubs and the big deal ones a5 1800 a set its dadt unless your an actual professional golfer wich plays for an income or career these ones are ideal for 90 peecent of golfers haha

I NEARLY bought my dad the edge set for him to get back into golf, then found the Cobra Speedzone irons, brand new, on clearance for 470 quid, they're genuinely fantastic forgiveness irons. My friend has the Edge set and it's AWFUL quality.
